Tossing the Bucket

The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails.
- John Maxwell

Tomorrow will be my final bucket filler. I have so enjoyed the opportunity to share encouraging and uplifting words with all who are kind enough to visit me. I truly believe everything I have shared.

It is time for me to toss the bucket on to another fellow blogger. I wanted to let you know about her today, because tomorrow is Mod Podge Mania, as well as my living room redo reveal (I hope!) for Short Mama's Home Redo Challenge .

I am tossing the bucket to a wonderful, sweet blogger named Carissa. If you haven't read her blog Sugar, Boogers, & Tantrums, now is your chance to get to know her! I thought she was the perfect one to toss the bucket to, because everytime I visit her blog, I leave feeling uplifted. She is warm, and caring, and has such a wonderful attitude. I can't wait to see all she has to share with us!

And now, I will continue to cram (you know my style), so I can have my project and livingroom finished in time for tomorrow's post! My procrastination on these projects is the reason I haven't been able to do many visits the past few days...so be patient with me!

If you have a mod podge project to share please come back tomorrow and link up!!!

I did not get to do your fun Mod Podge this month. I was out of town twice this month. So I hope to do it again soon. Have a great night.
Aww...thanks for saying such kind words about me. I really needed to hear it. You are so sweet. And I can't wait to get to know some of the new people that will read my Bucket Filler. :)

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...

Called To Serve

Detroit, Michigan.  That's where my boy will be serving for the next 2 years.  Perhaps he won't be right in the city the whole time. Perhaps he won't spend any time in the city at all.  But the Michigan, Detroit mission is where he has been called to serve. I don't think it has completely hit me yet.  It's not really possible to comprehend the reality of Kaden being 1,600 miles away for 2 solid years with only written contact except for the 2 times a year he will be able to call/skype home.  Like, I literally can't imagine what it will be like or how it will feel.  I'm sure it's going to be hard at times, that I'll miss him like crazy and just want to hear his voice.  We've always had a close relationship and we talk about anything and everything.  It's hard to imagine only speaking in person 4 times over the next two years. But there is absolutely no place I'd rather have him be, and nothing else I'd rather have him doing than ...
