Because I have GOT to be dreaming, right? Memba when I did THIS poll? And then when I did this one? GUESS WHAT? My boys are touring again! And even if you voted against them ( that very small percentage of you ), your boys are too! That's right - New Kids are touring with Backstreet Boys! Now if you read the first link above - you know that although my deepest loyalty lies with those fabulous 5 boys from Boston... I still very much appreciate the talent, and enjoy the music of the Backstreet Boys. Yeah, Tanielle and I are SO going to this one (please bless that they come to SLC so I don't have to drag her to Vegas). I've already threatened her that she better not DARE get pregnant this time!! So when I found out that this rumor was true last week - I was walkin' on air. But it was as if the Concert gods just didn't feel like I had been quite rewarded enough... Well...I regret to inform everyone that I will NOT be going to Vegas this weekend to see my fabulous 5 boys from Boston. Yes, I know, I know...it is quite a shock. I'm sad, but I know it's the right decision. I have been struggling with this for awhile. It started when I received my calling to serve in the Young Women's organization, and I realized girls camp was the very next week. I would be leaving my family on a Friday, returning on a Sunday, then leaving again on Monday for 5 days. I've had a lot of guilt about this, because I've never left my kids, except once for 3 days for a conference that was a requirement for my charter school board member position. But even then I took my husband and my youngest. I don't feel guilt about leaving for girls camp...it's a worthy service that deserves my time. However, the concert is just a fun, frivolous weekend for just myself, and although there's nothing wrong with that, it just felt like I was being r...

I'm so excited that in 1 week I will be on my way to Vegas to see my boys! I'm so sad because my partner in crime has officially decided she is too sick to go. I feel so bad for her. I'm really at a loss as I've already got the tickets...and no sidekick to accompany me! Please keep your fingers crossed that I can figure something out...I SO don't want to go with my husband! Hey everyone! It's Friday again! I'm at an overnighter for the Young Women, followed by our pre-camp hike. We go to camp July 13! I couldn't leave without first scheduling my Video Countdown to Vegas post! What would you all do without your (my) New Kids fix? Today I'm going to share their latest music video. It's the official music video of their song 2 In The Morning. This is one of my favorite songs on the album (The Block), and the video just makes it that. much. better. Really! Ahhhh Yeah. It's that time again! You know you've been lookin' forward to it all week ... my NKOTB Video Countdown to Vegas! This week's featured song is another oldie but goodie. It's from a performance they did last month on the Today show. Now an outdoor performance just doesn't have the same rich, full sound as an indoor venue with state of the art accoustics. But the energy of this performance is just so fun that I forgot about all that and just really enjoyed remembering this song! The only thing that keeps this video from perfection is that they cut away from the guys to this annoying reporter, anchor, whatever you call them that was being a total dweeb. Welcome to another captivating edition of Video Countdown To Vegas! I know you're all on the edge of your seats just wondering what video I have in store for you today! It's another of their new songs, from their new album The Block . I really love this song, and I REALLY love this performance of this song. In 6 weeks from today, July 10 th , I will be hopping in (a hopefully feeling better) Tanielle's car and we will be goin ' on a road trip to Vegas! We're headin ' down to see our boys in concert.
