So my long distance bloggy bosom buddy Amanda at Serenity Now tagged me with the fun Purse Tag.
Here she is in all her glory. My $12.00 Walmart find. She's seen better days and will probably soon be replaced with something more colorful, but it kind of falls at the bottom of the priority heap as far as spending money goes.
I'm glad that I got this tag after my daughter dumped the entire contents of my purse out while looking for something. When I put stuff back in, I left the huge pile of receipts, garbage, permission slips, etc. out so I could sort through them. I still managed to compile some extra junk in the past couple of days though!
What's in your purse?
Next up in the tag: 6 Unimportant Things that Make Me Happy
1. Pink or red toenails. A must have accessory for summer.
2. Cute watches. I only have one, but I wish I had 10!
3. You all know I love shoes!
4. Online TV. I don't have TiVo, so it's nice to be able to catch some of my favorite shows online if I miss an episode!
5. Cute scrapbook paper. It's been a while since I've actually scrapbooked, but I have been enjoying some fabulous other uses for the stuff!
6. When we go to my mom's for dinner or a bbq, and my mom sends home a bunch of leftovers. It's great to have lunch and even sometimes dinner for the kids the next day and not have to cook!
I tag:
I'm really excited about my new calling. I've been called as the Young Women's Secretary, and Personal Progress Leader. I will be working with a really neat group of ladies (that sounds old, I think they're mostly younger than me!) in the Young Women's Presidency. I really look up to them and look forward to serving with them. I hope I can be the kind of example that will help influence the young women in our ward to try to be young women of virtue and faith. The strength of young people in this world is so vital to building the Kingdom of God. I ache for my children when I think about what they are up against as they grow up in a world filled with evil. I know there is much good in the world as well, and hope to surround my children, as well as the young women in our ward with this goodness. Keep me in your prayers, that I might be able to fulfill and magnify this calling in a way that will be pleasing to my Heavenly Father, and that I may grow and learn and become a better person.
I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend and said a prayer for all those who sacrifice so much for the cause of freedom. And I hope you all have a wonderful week!

So starting from the top left, we have: my cute covered contact case that I just had to have, a piece of garbage I stuffed in there during church, a sticky note with a phone number on it (no not a guy's phone number, a mom at school whom I need to call), 2 spools of ribbon, 2 check books, a black hair bow, my blue jeans wallet, a stack of flyers, tax info and cards I picked up from a boutique where Ribbon Blossoms had a booth on Saturday, lipgloss and pens, lotion, an extra pair of clean underwear for Monkey in case of emergency, some cash and a "business tie onsie" from Ribbon Blossoms that I snagged from our booth to give to a friend for a baby present.

I will pray for you in your new calling at church. I know that you will do a great job.
You will LOVE Young Women's. My favorite place to be. Secretary is so important. Congratulations. I have to say...My daughter is in YW, and she LOVES the secretary. She just seems to relate to her the most.
Fun tag...I'm worried though. I have a messy handbag.

Exciting about your new calling. I loved working with the young women. Our wards secretary made a YW blog for the girls.
Good luck with your new calling.
