Extreme Makeover:Me Edition

Well, here it is Wednesday again and I barely made it in under-weight! I didn't eat or exercise the best over memorial day, so I'm only down a little over 1/2 pound...but I'll take it over a gain which is what I was worried about!

Poor Amber's having a rough time recovering from her wisdom teeth surgery, so head on over and give her some love!

The times I DID exercise this past week, I have been able to increase my "jogging interval" that I do at the end of my workout to a pace of 4 mph. Not very fast, but it's definitely helping me get conditioned to be able to up the speed and increase the amount of time I spend jogging. And I can totally feel a difference.

When I've been in the school (kids' school) these past couple of weeks, I have gotten several comments on the fact that I look like I'm losing weight. HALLELUJAH! I love when it' get's to the point that people actually start to notice, it's like your effort is finally starting to pay off! And it keeps you motivated to lose more!

Since there is no question from Amber this week, I thought I'd share a humerous workout story! Warning...some people, particularly animal lovers may not find this story as funny as I do...if not I apologize in advance!

Before I got pregnant with Monkey, I used to go running every morning with some ladies in my neighborhood. Our route took us along a back road that ran behind some townhomes and apartments. One morning we had to run into the road a little bit to avoid stepping on a poor dead cat that had been hit by a car, and was on the side of the road.

The next morning as we ran past that same spot, we noticed that the cat had not been removed, but someone had taken the time to put up a spray painted sign that said "Free Cat" with an arrow pointing down.

Now I know that the person who did this is slightly morbid and has way too much time on their hands...but is it bad that I laughed hysterically?

This week I plan on exercising 6 times, and am hoping to increase the amount of time I jog on the treadmill instead of walk. I also need to get back to drinking TONS of water. I'd like to start working on my abdominals as well.

How are YOU doing?

We have two beloved cats. . . .but I laughed at your story because they weren't ours. (ha ha - just kidding, sort of). That IS funny for those of us with a slightly bent sense of humor.

Keep it up - it's a great motivator that people are noticing you're losing weight - yahoo!

Great job on your weight loss and getting compliments! That is awesome.

Remember when I was able to do 30 something floors on the stair stepper the other week? Well, I don't know what I was on that day, but I can barely do 10 lately!

You are doing great! I truly believe that making small changes gradually is what makes them a habit.

Yea for the half pound! I am looking forward to hearing about your 6 days of working out next week!!

I finally got around to posting my EM:ME...and checking out all the posts...better late than never!
It sounds like you are still doing a great job. I didn't do so great over Memorial weekend either. I love that you exercise 6 days a week. It's totally inspiring. Hubby said he was going to watch the kids for me so I can go exercise when he gets home. I got on the treadmill today and I felt great when I was done. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow. Have a great week!!
ps....I am hoping to be able to do EMME next week. I'm still keeping up with it even if I haven't played. I love EMME

Love the cat story....I start my makeover today. I am nervous. I don't want to be a supermodel thin person...I just want to be a healthy active one. Wish me luck. Your efforts are what inspired me to get started and quit saying...Monday.

LOLing at the cat story...sad, but oh-so-funny.

Holidays and weekends are my hardest time to be good. So, I say if you can at least maintain through those times you're doing AWESOME...and if you still manage to lose (even a little), you're kickin' butt!!

Hope you've been having a great week!

The cat thing? Totally my sense of humor!

How am I doing? Well, I've been going to Pilates, but I'm getting bored with it. Once I'm out for the summer, I'll work out at least 4 days a week! Can't wait to start dropping pounds!

The reason you didn't have a big loss this week is because Gods punishing you for having a sick sense of humor!

JK, I am a huge animal lover and as sick as that was it is a bit funny...I guess
