Extreme Makeover Me Edition!

Well, here it is Wednesday again. Time for EMME! If you'd like to join go visit Amber to learn all about it!

I actually didn't blow it too bad on Easter. I've never cared a lot for chocolate, until I was prego with baby number 1. Then I totally craved it! After he was born, I still found there are times I really crave it. But other times I can do just fine without it. Easter was one of my non-chocolate craving days! Lucky for me! I did love the delicious glazed ham though, so I probably had a little more of that than I should have! I also indulged in 2 cans of caffeine free Dr. Pepper.

Besides that, I actually have been a lot better with my diet this week. I'm down a couple of pounds since last Wednesday, but was hoping to be down more (since I had gone up 4 with the previous 2 weeks slacking!)

I know exercise would have made the difference. I just haven't been able to get motivated! I don't know what my problem is. Before I was pregnant with my youngest, I was up to jogging 5 miles 6x a week! Now I can't even seem to get my butt on the treadmill for a measley 3 miles of walking!

I did see some really FAT pictures of myself at last year's family reunion, and thought GAG! I know I have lost weight since then, but still would like to lose a significant amount more before the reunion this year in August!

So to get back on track: This week I WILL: Walk on the treadmill every day for 1 hour (Sunday off), Continue drinking lots of water, and make a determined effort not to "graze" from the food I make for my kids, and strictly stick to my own food!

Wish me luck!

Oh the roller coaster of dieting! When will we ever be able to look at pics of ourselves and say hey I look good?!

Ah, the yummy glazed ham! I had a lot of that AND chocolate :-) Each day is a new day, and AMEN to not grazing from the kids' food - that is SO hard...

I know you can do it. Yeah to you.
"Keep on keepin on" as the saying goes. Loved your phrase about grazing!!
How jealous am I that you don't like chocolate?! What I wouldn't give for that preference at least 3times a year!

5 miles a day? 30 miles a week? Maniac! You absolutely can do what you laid out to get "back on track."

Most important: When are you going to tell us the year of your prom picture? :)

Good plan! I never used to care for chocolate either, but now I do for some reason. Although it has to be dark.

Good for you for losing!

XOXO

Good for you!!! You did WAY better than I did!
I think your plans for this week are reasonable goals. Goals that most of us could do well by following. You can do it!

One hour a day for 6 days is a big goal mama! I hope you have the treadmill at your house. I go the gym 4 times a week and give it all I've got while I'm there....but can't commit to 6 days...not with kiddos. Good luck. You can do it!

Excellent job with the weight loss! I think you may be the only one of us that didn't indulge in the candy!

Great plan! Have a great week!
I think you're doing great! Keep up the good work. BTW, Dr. Pepper is my weakness...seriously, sometimes I feel I just can't live without it. The sweet nectar of life, as my nephew calls it, and I have to agree with him!

Thanks for your sweet comment. I can always count on my super duper bloggy friends to come to the rescue when I need lifting!

I'm betting you can do it!! I have been trying since January and have really not had much success. Be my inspiration!
This is late in coming (been out of town), but Good luck! ;) It sounds like you're on the right track though!! Inspiring to me, anyways...I need to get my butt in gear. Coke or cafe mocha from Starbucks is my kryptonite...bad news!!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post.
