Once again my slacker-ness shines through. Here it is almost the end of the day, and I'm barely linking up to Kimm at Reinvented's Trash to Treasure Tuesday. But hey, there's still 4 hours left in Tuesday where I live!
This week mine is really, really simple, but I've been wanting to do it for a while, so I'm glad Kimm gave me some motivation! I started out with some empty Jones soda bottles. My mom likes to keep this stuff on hand for when the grandkids come over. I have a collection of odds and ends bottles and jars in my kitchen window sill, and have wanted to add a splash of color.
As you can see by the picture (girl in a bikini), this bottle definitely needed a scrapbook paper facelift! I picked some papers that I thought brought out the colors of the fabric I'm going to use to re-cover our bar stools. I removed the labels from the bottles and used one for a template to cut the scrapbook paper down to size. I kept it really simple without any embellishments or trim. I think I like it. I've photographed the finished bottles in front of the fabric...I think they go nicely!
Now head on over to Kimm's to get some more great Trash to Treasure inspiration!
On another note...what a difference a day makes!
Remember these gorgeous snow-capped mountain views from our day at the park only yesterday?
Well here was the view today of the exact same mountain! What, you can't see it? It's right there, just above the tree line. Still no? Yeah I'm bummed too.
Here's the view of my street.
Oh well, I know the moisture will be great for my lawn!

And remember what I said... no complaining... ;)
Sorry about your dreary weather, we're having that too. Just be thankful you have that gorgeous mountain to look at when the cloud clear! :)
Gotta love that rain! (I live in Oregon...we're so used to it!) Love the view that you get from the park on a sunny day...it's beautiful!
