Whenever I hear the song of a bird...

Whenever I hear the song of a bird,
or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
or the wind as it rushes by.
Whenever I touch a velvet rose,
or walk by our lilac tree,
I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heavenly Father created for me.
One of my favorite primary songs. The beauty of spring always reminds me how very much my Heavenly Father loves me. I'm so grateful for all the beauty he surrounds me with each and every day.
Remember the flower bed I weeded last week? I was so anxious to see these babies bloom!

Here's how they looked just a few days later!

There's no sunshine today, so they're hiding their faces, but I still think they look lovely!
These are what say "hello" to me each day when I walk out my front door. I still need to weed here!
This flower bed also still needs weeding and de-leafing! But I love all the bright colors!
I hope you are all having a beautiful Sabbath. Tonight I get to hear my husband and daughter (cowgirl) sing. There is an amazing exhibit called "Reflections of Christ" that will be touring the country. Tonight is the last night here, and our ward choir is one of choirs that was invited to do a musical presentation for the exhibit. I can't wait, it's going to be such a wonderful evening!

Oh - p.s. Tomorrow will be my 100th post! I think I'll do a giveaway!

Your flowers are beautiful! I wish we could get spring time flowers like most of the country can right now. We are already moving into summer.

That's exciting about the Reflections exhibit. The photographer is from here and in the scene on Calvary with the 3 crosses our friend Sam is on the cross to the left of Christ. Isn't that cool. Right now Sam is on his mission in Australia.

I ♥ that primary song....and the flowers look beautiful!
I love the blooming flowers & love to see my little one be so interested & gentle with them....he is so careful not to hurt them...just smell them. Don't know if you guys ever watch the show "Little Bill" but on a show it talked about once you pick a bud off a plant it will die...he always remembers that and is so careful not hurt the plant!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...

Mod Podge to the Rescue

Have you noticed that eggs and nests seem to be a common theme in home decor - especially with people making some decor changes for spring? I've seen some pretty cute stuff! For example - what do you think of these? If you like this look, you can get it at Williams-Sanoma. You'll pay $36 for the eggs, and $68 for 1 glass hurricane. They don't include the greenery! Sheesh! Maybe you could go online and find the whole look, already put together, like this: You'll pay $39 for that teeny one, and if you'd like a larger one - you'll shell out $89! Good thing I'm the Queen of Mod Podge! Remember this beauty that I found at the DI for $5? Well, I gathered up my trusty mod podge, the left over scrap book paper from this project, some plastic eggs that I got for 79 cents at Walmart, and a bag of moss that was around $2, also from Walmart. I mod podged the eggs closed so they wouldn't pop open while I was working with them, then I cut the scrapbook paper into ...
