De-Funk My Fashion!

So a couple of weeks ago I ran across an adorable blog. Lacey is a darling! She's fun, and charming, and super beautiful. (I thought it would be cool to fix her up with my little brother, but she's already got a way cute boyfriend!) On one of my visits I saw that she was starting a weekly feature called De-Funk Your Fashion Friday.

Basically you let her know you'd like "de-funked", and she takes the time to "get to know you" by delving into your blog. Then she puts together a fashion ensemble that she thinks will be fab specifically for YOU!

I thought it sounded so fun to see what she would pick for my NKOTB show! (You didn't think you'd get to go for too long without hearing about them, did you?)I actually just told her I was going to a concert in Vegas, not which show. I have to admit that I don't know that I would have ever come up with this outfit myself, but when I saw what she put together I SERIOUSLY LOVED IT!!!

Are you just dying to see it? I got a sneak peak yesterday, and have been dying to show you! So without further adieu:

So what do y'all think? Go over to Lacey In Love to see what she has to say about me and the look she picked! And while you're there you should volunteer to get your Fashion De-Funked...it was totally fun!

THANKS LACEY!

In other fashion news, I keep forgetting to post my Prom Picture Tag year. Most of you were pretty close. Some of you totally flattered me with the RECENT-ness (is that a word?) of the years you guessed.

I first need to disclose that this wasn't my actual Prom picture. I was grounded from my Junior Prom (meanest parents ever!), and as a Senior, I went to both the Junior Prom and Senior Dinner Dance (our version of Senior Prom), but I went as a Peer Tutor for the special ed. students in our school, so we went as a big group. I have pictures of both, but can't seem to find them.

The pic I posted is actually from a formal dance I went to senior year, that I believe took place in November. I'm not positive though. So I graduated in 1994. If you guessed 93 or 94 then you get a point! (is anyone keeping score?) It was one of those 2 years!

Happy Friday Everyone!

This outfit is perfect! It looks fabulous without looking like you are trying too hard. A very difficult balance to attain! You are going to look fantastic! And the shoes, the shoes...! I popped over to Lacey right away and begged to be de-funked. (Which is funny b/c I perceive myself as having no funk whatsoever in the first place!)
You will look awesome! I especially love the shoes and the earrings.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Mod Podge Mania!

I am so super excited for our first edition of Mod Podge Mania! I love this stuff, and I LOVE getting new ideas for how to use it...so hopefully this will be a great place for "inspiration" where we can all get some fun new ideas! So here's how it will work. Post about a project on your blog, along with instructions on how you created your mod podge masterpiece! OR you can do a post featuring a project you have seen someone else do, just to pass the idea along. Just make sure you give credit where credit is due! Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at! (example: Xazmin - decorative eggs) Last, go check out everyone's fabulous projects and let the inspiration begin! You can link up as
