I need the weekend!

So, yesterday was pretty much the stupidest day ever.  Just one crappy thing after another, including slipping on the ice with injuries for both my husband and my daughter (Cowgirl).  Oh, and Pixie getting her hand slammed in the door.  I also had a million places to be from right after school, until past 9. The suckiness seemed never-ending.  Plus, I'm pretty sure I just woke up in a bad mood - so the rest just seemed that much worse.  I ended the night feeling like I just needed a good cry.  You know that feeling?

But it's Friday.  The weekend starts here, and I'm determined to make it a fun weekend, and kick myself out of this crappy mood.  My guys are going to Scout camp.  Ice fishing.  Should be cold for them.  Nice and warm for the girls and I here at home though!  Hehe.  And maybe Bookworm will bring home some nice trout for dinner tomorrow like he did last year.

I also have a bunch of baby bows to make today.  Tomorrow I'm going to a baby shower for a sweet friend of mine who is having a little girl.  I've been planning to make her a great collection of adorable bows.  Have I made one single bow yet?  Nope.  I'm such a procrastinator.

Between making the bows today, going to the shower tomorrow, and church on Sunday, I can predict that the weekend will be over before I know it.  But you know what?  That's okay.  Because I'm going to ENJOY it.  Also I'm super excited about my fun giveaway on Monday!  I hope you come back to check it out.  I really think you'll like it!

I guess that's it for today.  I hope everybody has a good weekend, and be sure to come back on Monday!

i do the same thing. procrastination is my worst enemy, yet i keep doing it to myself over and over. i say i am better when i am under the wire, but i am having a hard time believing myself these days.

speaking of procrastination, i guess i should get back to packing.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...
