Unless you're super new here, you know I'm pretty much a walking disaster, and you also know that I am trying desperately to remedy that.
I'm about to embark on sort of a big undertaking as part of the process of de-chaosifying my life. You like that word? I totally just made it up. I'm clever that way.
Most of you probably know Emmy - an awesome bloggy friend. She recently went to a Power of Mom's retreat and can't say enough good about the organization. They have a program called Mind Organization for Moms (M.O.M.). Emmy kept mentioning it, so I decided to look into it. It looked interesting. It seemed legit. It sounded inspiring, but I just wasn't sure. I wasn't sure I was willing to invest money into a program that may or may not work for me. But I kept being drawn to it, and the idea of what they claim it will do for moms.
So I reached out to them and told them a little bit about what I am trying to do. They really believe in their product and agreed to provide the program for me to try out and review. And also - here's where it gets interesting for you - I get to give away a copy of the program to one of my readers!
I've been pouring over the program for the past couple of days, and am really excited about jumping in. It's going to take some time to get it fully implemented, but I'm taking you all along on my journey! And at the end, if it is working fabulously for me, then you all KNOW it will work for you! And we'll do the giveaway, and it will be awesome!
I've already taken a small (to you) but extremely significant (to me) step. It's actually step #8 in the whole implementation of the system, but since I am still gathering the supplies I will need to get going from step #1, I decided this was something I could do with what I already had - my laptop.
Yesterday there were a combined total of over 4,000 emails in my 2 inboxes. Some trash, some had info I needed, some I needed to reply to, some I wasn't sure what to do with yet, so I didn't delete them, etc. As I type this, both of my inboxes sit at zero messages. Zero. And they will stay that way. There will never be emails sitting in my mailbox for more than 24 hours. It doesn't mean they will all have been resolved and deleted - but they will have been processed into the M.O.M. system, and be gone from my inbox. Emmy says this step alone has made a huge difference for her. I'll report back next week to update you on my progress, and report how the email system is working for me.
How organized are you? Do you have a system that you swear by? Or are you looking for something that will help you finally achieve the order you crave in your life?

Hey--thanks for linking up! Do we have a date tonight?
At work, I'm getting more organized. Nick has given me some great tips on organizing computer projects and it has really paid off.
However, meal planning and dinner making organization still eludes me.
For me, lists are important. Also our big family calendar that is by the front door keeps both me and my husband organized.
Good luck with your new project. I hope it works for you!
As for organization around the house, I certainly could use more help there. I think this will clear itself up once we are able to get into a larger house where we will actually have space to put some of the clutter. Right now, it's just a hopeless, never-ending battle to keep on top of. It's just not going to materialize until we move.
Thanks for visiting!
I want to be that popular!
How did you get rid of em???
~Becca
Yup. 20,000 +
Mmhmmm... Twenty THOOOW-ZAND (plus)
But that's from 2 years.
I'm not popular and I don't delete.
I dunno why....
I do need someone to set up a system to make me emails organized though. I get so overwhelmed when I see a ton of them. I just need them to go to specific places so I can deal with one type of subject at a time
Good luck de-chaosifying, love the new word, your life and thanks for linking up!
