Kickin' it Old School...New Kids Style!

I know you have all been eagerly awaiting another Friday Edition of my video countdown to Vegas!

5 weeks and counting! I get giddy just thinking about it! I know some of you think I'm crazy...and others of you "share" the crazy. Even if you are one of those poor souls who doesn't get the New Kids fever, I still love you!

So I have my main video to share, but first I HAD to post this hilarious VERY short video clip that makes me laugh every. single. time. It's from the reunion tour they just finished up. If you went to one of the shows on the tour, you'll understand and laugh too. If you didn't, I still think you'll find it amusing.

I just need to quickly set up the video. This is the beginning of the opening number when the guys first "appear". A row of steam "fountains" shoots up, and a platform rises up from the stage that the guys are standing on. This is someone filming at the concert with her camera...I'm just going to quote directly her explanation of this video.

"I have never seen NKOTB LIVE. I waited 10 years! I am 24 and it took me all of 2 seconds to act like I was 10 again! I went BANANAS! "

Funny, huh? Like I said, if you went to the show, you get it. This uncontrollable giddiness, like you haven't felt since you were a teenager just washes over you and the "grown up" you just disappears!

Now on to the main feature! One of the things I heard the guys say in an interview when they were first promoting their reunion tour made me just love them all over again.

I think it was Donnie who said it. He basically said that they would be doing a good set of their new songs, and a good set of their old hits. But they weren't going to change up their old songs to sound and look like today's music. That they wanted to give the fans what they fell in love with, and stay true to the style and performance that made them big back in the day. I LOVE that, becuase I was so worried they were going to change it all up like artists sometimes do. So here's one of their biggest hits, performed old school style during their 2008 reunion tour. This is not one of MY videos, as my camera ran out of memory, but from a different show on the tour.

The sound is that of a concert, with lots of screaming...but I love it!

Just watching the video made me giddy! I would love to see them in concert...again. As an adult. LOL!

Have a great weekend!
I have no comment.... just saying hello.
I am so excited for you Xazmin. I have to admit that I don't quite get the NKOTB fever, but I can relate. I take how you feel for NKOTB and transfer it over to Duran Duran for me.

The first video was funny!

XOXO
