Friend Makin' Monday ~ Confessions!

It's Monday...time to make some new friends! And apparently find out some juicy dirt on them as well!

If you're new to FMM, head on over to Kasey's to see what the fun's all about...then link up and play!

So today's task is Confessions! Spill your guts ...

Man, I don't even know where to begin!

1. Since school's been out I almost never get up before my kids. They get up and make some breakfast and watch T.V. while I stay snug under the covers!

2. I ate like a pig last week and didn't exercise.

3. I've never been all the way caught up on my laundry.

4. I am a yelling mom, and I hate it. My mom yelled, and now I do - I'm trying really hard to break this habit.

5. I think I am too prideful about my children.

6. I reprimand my son for staying up all night to read a book, but I do the same thing. I guess that makes me a hypocrite?

I'm stopping here before I lose all of my followers!

What are YOUR deep dark secrets?

I have the same problems Xazmin. It's really hard to confess those things. It can be really hard not to yell at your kids b/c they can really get on your nerves. I feel bad about it too. I don't think any less of you. I think you are a great person. And I do all of those same things on your list. You're not alone. hugs

Number 6? That's where the phrase, "Do as I say, not as I do" comes from.

I'm a yeller too.

I yell too...sometimes I try not to and then I feel like my head might explode when my dear children keep pushing my buttons. It's like they want to see my head spin!

I can relate to many of these! you are definitely not alone in them!
You are so not the only one who is never all the way done with laundry ~ I have a laundry basket that is the permanent dumping ground for items such as socks, wash cloths, and underwear that I never feel like folding. :o)

Have a wonderful day!

I always swore I wouldn't be a yeller like my Mom...until I dated this guy that knew exactly how to push all my buttons. Yuck.

My poor future children.

Happy FMM!

LOL about losing your followers! I never wake up until Abby gets up. And if she were older, I'd stay in bed too!

I love this week's topic! I confessed things I really would't have otherwise, and I'm even embarrassed about - but I did it anyway. And I'm realizing I'm not the only one... we're all human. It's actually pretty cool. :) Happy Friend Makin' Monday! :)
Good list Xazmin! I loved reading your confessions. I am a yeller too. Sometimes I just can't help it. And I love to sleep in.

I'm a yeller too and I hate it. I feel like for every step forward I take two backwards sometimes! I'm glad to know I'm not alone.

I never have patience with my own children but give me the kids of someone else and I have the patience of Job. Why is that?

I hear you on the yelling and not because your yelling.:) I'm a old yeller my self. I am trying so hard not to. If I feel like yelling I tell my kids I have to sit in time out until I don't feel like yelling anymore. It is hard to break the habit when it's been a family tradition.

My Mom was a yeller so I totally blame the yelling quality I have from her.

Oh to sleep in...if only our 7 month old would grasp that concept!

Oh, I'm a yeller too! My dad yelled, and I hated it. I hate it that I yell. Blech.

I haven't been eating as well as I should either. It's hit or miss, but Saturday was definitely MISS.

Today was our first day of summer vacation, and I WAY too advantage of sleeping in!! All three of us girls slept until 9:45!
Come on, you can NEVER be too prideful about your kids!! That's nothing!!

Have a great week!

I totally hear you on #1!!!!!!
My mother in law has a saying, "confession is good for the soul, but not for the reputation." I loved reading your confessions, but I think I will refrain from sharing mine.:-)

Yell. Who me? I NEVER YELL! I hate it too and wish I could get it under control!

Being proud of your children is not a bad thing! I see my girls for what they are, the good the bad and the ugly but I am always proud of them! There's nothing wrong with that!

Nothing wrong with being honest! I'm sure you are not alone with the yelling thing. We all do it, especially when we're stressed...which is often for me! ;)

And #1...oh yeah. Thank goodness for my husband who pours some cereal for the 3-year old and turns on Dora, and my wonderful 20-month old loves to hang out in his bed when he wakes up. I can get a few extra Zzzzz's!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
