Extreme Makeover: Me Edition...What's in YOUR fridge?

It's time for EM:ME hosted by Amber...go here if you'd like to join us!
Post a picture of the contents of our fridge to see how much healthy food is in it.

Boy am I glad that I went grocery shopping yesterday AND cleaned out my fridge! Otherwise today's question would have been really embarrassing.

Not because my fridge was full of unhealthy food or anything, but because it was full of containers of leftovers that have seen much better days! But I had to clear those out (gag) to make room for my groceries. It was the last day of the case lot sale at our neighborhood grocery store, and I had to go snag me some food storage!

Here she is in all her glory.

Can't forget the door shot. Yes I have an upright fridge. I hate how narrow the side by sides are, because I love being able to fit WIDE dishes and trays in my fridge, especially before parties and barbecues and stuff.

Freezer door: turkey burgers and frozen fruit...I can't accept any points for this since they've been there for like a year, and I'll probably never get around to eating them. I probably will get around to eating the bacon and chocolate chips though! (only occasionally of course!)

Regular fridge door stuff, condiments and jam and such.

My freezer is sportin' Lean Cuisine and my yummy Lean Ole burritos!
The big bags of rice are food storage...supposedly if you put them in your freezer for 24 hrs, it makes it so they don't get bugs. Can't hurt right? They will be moved down to my food storage room tonight.

I love the ginormous bags of Nestle's chocolate chips you can get at Costco! Behind the rice is frozen broccoli, peas and corn...good stuff.
Turkey, yogurt and slimfast are healthy, right? Also, the bottom pudding cups are for my kids, but the ones by the slimfast are mostly the 100 calorie packs, and the 60 calorie sugar frees.

Got my drinkin' water...water...water...I've been drinking like crazy!

Apples, celery, carrots - oh, my! There's some romaine lettuce under there too - I hate iceberg lettuce.

Spinach for my salad, and onions...they make EVERYTHING better!

If you came by last week, I was in a pretty sour mood. It didn't get much better through the rest of the week. I could not stop eating bad stuff, or get up on that treadmill!

I'm happy to say - I'm back on the weight loss wagon. I'm not sure how much I gained that week and a half of horrible behavior (because I didn't weigh myself until I had a couple of days of good eating under my belt), but it did a number on my endurance for exercise. Got on the treadmill Monday night, only jogged for 5 minutes, and walked for 13...thought I was going to die! I seriously thought I had developed a case of exercise induced asthma or something (don't laugh...it's a real thing!)

Burned a bunch of calories last night when I made about 30 trips up and down my stairs, carrying cases of food storage down to the food storage room. I was still planning on the treadmill too, but then I took a slip on the stairs while carrying a 24 count case of bottled water, landed flat on my back, and was in pain the rest of the night! I feel much better today though, so watch out treadmill!

I am up 1.6 lbs from this time 2 weeks ago which was the last time I weighed myself. I'm not too upset, since I was expecting to be up anywhere from 8-10 lbs after my behavior! I've been very good about my food choices this week, and am feeling good about being back on track!

How weird is it that your first 3 comments are all from somebody named Jenny?!

I think you have the same fridge as I do. Except mine is practically empty. We're all starving and I keep forgetting to go shopping. Yikes.

Ok, Tanielle is expecting the baby, for some reason I thought it was you and I was like "What? She's dieting? What? She fell on her back? What?! I'd be freaking..." Ok, so now I've figured it out, I'm ok.

I can't stand those lean cuisines! They taste like cardboard!
I'm jealous of your fridge! We have a side-by-side, and I can't ever fit anything in there. I'm trying to convince my hubby to move this one out to the garage and get a newer one (hmmmm, maybe that's what he'll get for Father's Day!). Good luck getting back on the wagon! I admire you!

Glad to hear your back and at 'em. Sorry to hear about fall. Hope all is well.

I agree, I can't stand my side by side. Which is funny because since I was a kid I wanted a side by side with an ice maker.

I bet you are getting super excited to see New Kids on the Block! I heard after each concert they head to a local WaffleHouse? Is this true and will you head over there to see them? I had heard about that on some show, that they head over to Wafflehouse and meet with there fans. I was wondering if it was true!
Have a great week!

Mine looks a lot like yours. Love good cold crispy apples. Yum.

We use spinach a lot too. I put it in everything. Tuna, soups, sauces, eggs, we are Popeyes best friends.

Great job and you are very organized.
