The Day the Sun Peeked Out

Once...there was this one day....when the sun actually peeked out. For a minute.

On that day, we went to the park. So I thought I'd share a whole lot of photos from that day.

Best shot of the day...to be tucked away to show to future boyfriends.

I love these shoes! I couldn't find any in my size!
This look on Cowgirl's face is the result of Bookworm standing on the net a little behind her, and jumping up and down...trying to make her fall!

This is Bookworm's best "bored" look because he says the park is for little kids and babies.

Weeeee!
Pixie's idea of swinging "high" is barely moving.
Cowgirl is more of a thrill seeker!

I took these last pictures for Amanda (Sturgmom)...she's a little envious of my mountains...so I want to share them with her whenever I can!

Of course, the rain came back the next day. It's still here. It's taking a 24 hour break right now...but we know it's back tomorrow!

Why don't they make adult versions of little girls' shoes? Seriously, they are SO cute!
Those pics are great!
Last week? My friends and I decided to meet at the park with all of our 6 kids. All week was sunny.
Friday was the day we were gonna meet. It just figures, it rained.
The kids didn't mind and we were so excited to be outta the house and in adult company, we huddled through it and outlasted that rain!
Woo hoo! It's exactly the kind of thing you'll see at Northwest parks. No umbrellas either!
Also, your mountains are beautiful. We have LOTS of mountains but they're covered in trees so you can't see the rocks and stuff. I like yours! ha! I like your mountains better than my mountains, that sounds strange.

Such a fantastic set of pictures. Getting out to the park like this is really what being a kid is all about. Too fun!

Such great pictures! Isn't it funny how different our little ones can be? I mean, they grow up in the same house, have the same surroundings, same parents, and they are definitely their own little people from day 1, I love it! :)
Oh, Xazmin, those photos are great!! :) The shot with Cowgirl swinging high from behind is amazing! The underwear shot will be good blackmail later. Your kids are so cute!!! :)

We have cloudless skies for 5 straight days now. It would be heavenly if not for the 90 degree temps it brought with it. I'm actually looking forward to rain we are getting on Thursday to lower the temps.

Beautiful views!!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

I love this stuff, and I LOVE getting new ideas for how to use it...so hopefully this will be a great place for "inspiration" where we can all get some fun new ideas! So here's how it will work. Post about a project on your blog, along with instructions on how you created your mod podge masterpiece! OR you can do a post featuring a project you have seen someone else do, just to pass the idea along. Just make sure you give credit where credit is due! Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at!
