Glitter Girl to the Rescue!

Tonight was Super Hero Night at Young Women's! We were combined with the Young Men, and we were supposed to come dressed up as a super hero, and we had to complete Super Hero Boot Camp!

I didn't know what to do! Thank goodness for brilliant friends. Y'all know how much I love sparkly things...at least I think you do. So my friend Rachael said I should be Glitter Girl. I did bring Glitter Toes to camp after all!

I armed myself with glitter of all sorts and invited myself over to Tanielle's. I knew she'd love to be let loose on me with glitter and hair spray! Here's what she made of me! Sorry the resolution is really crappy...I promise my skin looks better than this! But when I cropped the pictures it messed up the resolution...GAH!

Glitter....

Girl!

And here's a shot of the fabulous hair! I wish you could see how sparkly it is, Tanielle went crazy and dumped tons and tons of purple glitter on my head! I don't know if it will ever come out!
We also "glittered" some letter G's and I had a double G on my chest (no not on my boobs!) and a big G on my cape! Oh yes...I wore a cape!

Here's Kiirsten...she was Static Cling!

Andrea was The Volumnizer!

Here we have the 3 Amigos (are they considered super heroes?)

And Fusion Fighters, or Fusion Frenzy or something...I don't exactly remember.

Here's our Bishop working hard with some of the Youn Men on this brain teaser.

These guys were working fast and furiously to solve the word scramble. All the teams hard at work trying to be the first to finish!

Andrea had put together some great intellectual, and physical challenges that comprised the Super Hero Boot Camp...I think all the youth had a blast!

And I'm pretty sure they'll be finding glitter throughout the church come Sunday...woops!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Mod Podge Mania!

I am so super excited for our first edition of Mod Podge Mania! I love this stuff, and I LOVE getting new ideas for how to use it...so hopefully this will be a great place for "inspiration" where we can all get some fun new ideas! So here's how it will work. Post about a project on your blog, along with instructions on how you created your mod podge masterpiece! OR you can do a post featuring a project you have seen someone else do, just to pass the idea along. Just make sure you give credit where credit is due! Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at! (example: Xazmin - decorative eggs) Last, go check out everyone's fabulous projects and let the inspiration begin! You can link up as
