Mod Podge Mania and a surprise!

Are you ready? Well I hope so, because I have had quite the time putting MPM together this month! The project I had in mind was a bust. I hope to have it done for next month, but it's a little bit more project than I had time to do, and my Monkey has been sick, so trying to actually accomplish something with her clinging to me, and crying for me to hold her was a little difficult. Last night I finally had to throw in the towel on that project (for now).

Then I came up with another project, and it was quite simple, and relatively quick. But I have now spent the last 2 hours trying to load my pictures! For some reason my computer is having difficulty reading my new memory card. I'm not sure if it's the computer, or the card!

I decided to put one of my old frames to good use, you know the ones that haven't hung in your house for ages, but it's a good frame, so you don't want to just throw it out! I did a quick spray paint job on the frame - I love Rustoleum Espresso Brown!

Then I took some fabric that I picked up at Walmart - only $.87 for 1/3 yard!

I put my handy-dandy Cricut cutter to work on some dark brown cardstock...

And...VOILA!

What I did: I cut my letters and flowers, then arranged them how I wanted them to look. Then I mod podged the cardstock onto the back of the glass piece for the frame, making sure to place them backward, so they would read properly when viewed from the front side of the glass. After my letters and flowers were in place, I slathered on another layer of Mod Podge, placed my fabric piece over the letters, and spread more Mod Podge over the back. I let it dry then secured the glass into the frame with a little hot glue. I finished it off with a brown tulle "hanger".

So what do ya think? Do you want me to give it to you? I will...well at least to one of you!

I posted about a birthday gift made with modpodge on my blog and one of my subscribers said I ought to post a link to my project, since it was kind of unique. go to http://the4rsRamblings.blogspot.com to see my July Birthday Extravaganza, and I will also link on my next post to your site. I made my 79 year old dad a pill case with each of his grandchildren, and great grandchildren's pic on it, and of course his favorite, shitzu dog Sammy. Stop by to see another great project!

Hi Xazmin --

Sorry I am so late, but I finally got my project done. Had a little meltdown that slowed me down.

Thanks for letting me link up so late!

The Girl With The Headache - update

It's been almost a year since I first posted here about Ambria and her struggle with Post Concussion Syndrome .  At that time Ambria had already been suffering for a year, and I was at the end of my rope.  To quickly recap, Ambria came home from a church dance with a debilitating Migraine one day in late February of 2015.  And it didn't go away.  For months.  She couldn't go to school, or church, or out with friends. Life sort of came to a stand still for her.  She spent most of her days sleeping, and when she wasn't asleep she was like a zombie and in so much pain.  She was eventually diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome.  She'd suffered multiple sports concussions from playing soccer.  She was just supposed to try and treat the pain while waiting for her brain to start working properly again. We had many doctor's visits, tests, dietary changes, different perscriptions, so many things to try and help with the pain.  Nothing helped.  Months kept passing with
