A little less blah...

But still BLAH! Give me some sunshine and flowers!!

I did have a fun day hanging out with My mom and cousin J today. We had a fun day of window shopping and I even got some inspiration for my February Mod Podge Mania project! I am so excited to get started on it! But first to get things ready for this month. Don't forget the party starts on January 31st. I hope you'll all come party with me!

I didn't get around to visit everyone yesterday or today, but I will be catching up...promise! I will NOT become a blog-slacker again!

So who's been watching American Idol? What do you think of the new judges? I have always liked Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez. I was very curious to see them judge. I actually haven't watched AI for a couple of years, because it was opposite NCIS (one of my all time fave shows). Since I don't have DVR, it was either or...so AI was the one sacrificed. I was excited to hear it moved to Wednesday instead of Tuesday - and was eager to watch this year. I think Steven is going to get on my nerves...we'll see. I'm loving Jennifer though. And I don't care what anyone says...Ryan Seacreast is freakin' adorable. LOVE him!!

Speaking of American Idol...who watched Season 2? Remember Kimberly Caldwell? She had that throaty, Stevie Nicks type of voice? Yeah, I really liked her. She even dated David Cook for awhile - did ya know that?

ANYWAY - last night I found this video of her new song and fell in LOVE with it! I love her voice, and this song is just so catchy! Check it out...tell me what ya think.

So...in case anybody's wondering - I typed this post while watching American Idol. Don't know if you could tell or not.

Hey there! I'm stopping over from Amanda's blog :) I have to say, I am kind of loving the new judges. I think Paula & Simon were getting annoying... and all the dumb people in costumes just to get on tv were annoying. So I'm really liking this season. I about cried with the last person who had his fiancee with him.... ugh. What a tearjerker!

I'm in the same AI boat as you. I quit watching when they brought that Kara girl on. I love Steven Tyler and I surprisingly really like JLo too!!!
I've always liked Stephen Tyler and JLo, but now I'm loving them! I think they're doing a great job! Stephen was so sweet to the girl last night witht he traumatic brain injury. I just cried and cried. I love them on AI!

Wish you could visit AR this weekend. It's gonna be 68 on Saturday!

Like the song you posted!
I love me some Steven Tyler and of course JHo, but can they not find someone to replace Randy? We wears me smooth out. He gets so annoying!

I hate Randy too. And JLo. That's the reason I held out until last night. I haven't watched yet but DVR has it. :)

I've had the blah's this month too! Especially the last couple of days!!! :( Will January never end???

I haven't watched AI yet this year, but I have it recorded (just haven't had time to watch yet).
BUT...I'm excited to see how Chris Medina does~ (he's the one with the fiancee that has a TBI)...my son also has a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) so it's a little more close to home for me! :)

I LOVE that video! I hadn't heard it. I really loved Kimberly when she was on AI. Her voice is really raspy/dirty/lower/gritty. I love it!

AI is FABULOUS this season. I wasn't sure with Simon, Kara, and Ellen gone. I almost decided to boycott and not watch, but I'm glad I did, because I was pleasantly surprised. I've already got some favorites.

I'm trying really hard to finish my modge podge project. I always say I'm going to link up with you and I never do...but I'm trying really hard this time to follow through!! *fingers crossed* It's part of what I'm sending my new bloggy friend for Mamarazzi's Pinktastic Swap!

LOVE YOU to pieces.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
