I'm Ready!

Stuff I'm sick of....

Stuff I miss...

Girl's night...
at the soccer game.

Camping. (look how little Bookworm was - he's so tall now!)

Date night......at the soccer game. (Doesn't my husband look thrilled to be with me?)

Porch swings and tee-shirts.

Chris Wingert...

At the soccer game (yes I took a picture of him from behind - so?)

Sunflowers (these are the gorgeous one's from Tanielle's yard).

Roasting Marshmallows.

Is anybody else longing for warmer temperatures and outside fun?

I'm with you... more warm weather please. I don't mind the snow and cold for the holidays, but now that they're over with, it's time for the seasons to move on!
I'm not *quite* ready b/c I know as soon as the broiling heat gets here, I will be wishing for cold weather and sweaters. ;) I do love the sunflowers though!

It was 11 when I left my warm house to go to school. I am so over winter and so ready for summer. I am tired of wearing sweaters and coats. Loved the pictures.

Called To Serve

Detroit, Michigan.  That's where my boy will be serving for the next 2 years.  Perhaps he won't be right in the city the whole time. Perhaps he won't spend any time in the city at all.  But the Michigan, Detroit mission is where he has been called to serve. I don't think it has completely hit me yet.  It's not really possible to comprehend the reality of Kaden being 1,600 miles away for 2 solid years with only written contact except for the 2 times a year he will be able to call/skype home.  Like, I literally can't imagine what it will be like or how it will feel.  I'm sure it's going to be hard at times, that I'll miss him like crazy and just want to hear his voice.  We've always had a close relationship and we talk about anything and everything.  It's hard to imagine only speaking in person 4 times over the next two years. But there is absolutely no place I'd rather have him be, and nothing else I'd rather have him doing than ...

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...
