27 days of Thankful - day #6

Today I am SOOOOO thankful that all 3 of my school-age kids were well enough to go back to school! It is the first day they have all been back since the Thursday before Halloween. Not only was it hard to see them sick...but they were really driving me crazy! They weren't symptom -free, so I couldn't send them back - but they were feeling well enough that they were BORED and they wouldn't stop fighting! So glad they're back in school!

I'm linking up to my good friend Amanda's 27 Days of Thankful - go check it out!

Now....c'mon you know the drill. It's time for my SYTYCD video spotlight...my show is tomorrow! I can hardly stand it!

Today I want to show you the 2 dancers I am most looking forward to seeing tomorrow night. Jeanine - who won last season, and Brandon - who should have won! Now I'm not too bitter, because I really love Jeanine too, but I do think that Brandon is a stronger dancer. Anyway, Brandon took 2nd and the 2 of them paired together is incredible. Here's their Paso Doble.

Yes, Lucas was a bit stuffy today but his nose is not running one bit, so you can bet I sent him to preschool. I was not ready for yet another day with him home all day.

Thank goodness they are feeling better again!
I feel your pain... you're so sad they're sick, but you reach a point you want them well so that they'll give you a moment's peace!

If you liked that Paso, you'll be in for a treat tomorrow night. ;)
Lucky that you get to see the live show. I love it when you post the dances. I'm slways so amazed at their talent.

It is so rough to find the balance between feeling sorry for the sick kiddos and being the irritated parent!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Mod Podge Mania!

I am so super excited for our first edition of Mod Podge Mania! I love this stuff, and I LOVE getting new ideas for how to use it...so hopefully this will be a great place for "inspiration" where we can all get some fun new ideas! So here's how it will work. Post about a project on your blog, along with instructions on how you created your mod podge masterpiece! OR you can do a post featuring a project you have seen someone else do, just to pass the idea along. Just make sure you give credit where credit is due! Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at! (example: Xazmin - decorative eggs) Last, go check out everyone's fabulous projects and let the inspiration begin! You can link up as
