27 Days of Thankful #8 and #9!

Sorry I missed you guys yesterday...I had a wonderful weekend and have been basking in it...and sleeping! I don't know what my deal is but I am SO SLEEPY!

Wanna hear my thankfuls? Well, I missed Sunday. So here it is. I am so thankful for the experience I had on Saturday of taking my Young Women along with the Young Men to the temple to perform baptisms on behalf of those who have died. 2 of the girls, and 2 of the guys were going to the temple for their first time. There is nowhere on earth like it. It was wonderful to experience with them. I love my calling...I love my Young Women, and I love watching them make righteous choices. I want so much for them. It was also neat that while we were there, another group came in. They were from a special needs branch in the area, and it was so neat to see them so excited to have this experience. I loved Saturday!

Today I am thankful that my husband put up with me sleeping most of the morning...and he just hung out with Monkey until I decided to drag my sleepy butt outta bed. Then he was cool in the afternoon when I said I needed another nap! Again...don't know what my deal is today, but so glad Hubby was sweet about it and let me sleep!

Head on over to Amanda's if you want more 27 Days of Thankful!

And don't think I've forgotten...tomorrow you'll get all the dish on my fabulous night of So You Think You Can Dance! So make sure to tune in!

I tried to take a nap on Sunday and my hubs was too noisy around the house! He never lets me get a good nap in!
What a beautiful picture of the temple! And you're right - there is nothing like the feelings and experiences you get when being there. I love the temple and all it stands for!!!!!
What a great hubby....it's the other way around at my house. My hubs naps when he's home. :s

I hope you're not getting sick! Take care of yourself.

Glad you got to go to the temple with your girls. I love to watch their faces during down time and see the Spirit of what they're doing sink in.

So is that "my" temple? :) Jordan River? Sometimes I forget that I was married there...it's a beautiful temple, but the truth is it was the only one open when we got married since it was over the holidays. haha I'm glad you have a great husband who supports you and let's you rest when you need to! Love the temple!
What a sweet hubby you have. Your body is probably still trying to recover from being sick. Take it easy.

That is so wonderful that you were able to take those young people to the temple. Such a special experience!

XOOx

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Friend Makin' Monday and 100th post giveaway!

This week's task is to complete the following tag: 5 Senses Tag We are to list 4 things we love, and one thing we dislike, for each sense. Smell Like: 1. Pot roast in the oven! 2. Sunkissed Citrus Scentsy, and Melon Medley from the Walmart knock-off scents! 3. rubbing alcohol (I know, I need help) 4. along those same lines...nail polish and nail polish remover. Dislike: coffee Touch Like: 1. The click, click of the keyboard beneath my fingers! 2. back massage from my husband - he has magic hands! 3. an ice cold soda can on the back of my neck on a hot summer day! 4.Hot showers Dislike: Hot glue on my fingertips! Occupational hazard for me! Sound 1. My baby (okay she's 2 now!) whispering "secrets" in my ear. 2. My kiddo's giggles. 3. My husband's singing. He has a very nice si

What would a party be without us BOTH?

Y'all didn't really think we were gonna party seperately did you? Not when we have so much fun TOGETHER! And it's better this way, because it means you have TWO chances to win an awesome Blogiversary giveaway! One year ago today, Tanielle and I both started blogging. For me, I thought it might be a good way to promote our hairbow busines. But I quickly learned that the true value of my blog was in the wonderful women I've met and the wonderful friends I've made - some who have even become close friends outside of Bloggerville. I've laughed, cried, been inspired, and received the best comments from some of the smartest, funniest, kindest ladies I've ever known. Thank you all for all of it! And thank you Tanielle for partying with me, and for being one of the people I've had the most fun with in my life. Ever. 10 things I love about Tanielle 1. I love that she shares a maturity level equivalent to mine (in it's near non-existence!) 2. I love that s
