Dear Someone

Dear Messy House,

Why haven't you taken care of yourself yet? Each morning I awake, and expect you to be cleaned up, yet you are still in the pathetic state of disarray that I left you in when I retired the night before. What is your problem?

Don't you know that I have much more important things like blogging budgeting, school governance, church calling, and grocery shopping to attend to? I don't have time to worry about you too.

Please, get your act together and straighten up.

Too busy to pay attention to you,
Over-scheduled mom.

Dear lady at the shoe store,

Thank you for recommending the Nike running shoes. I have never had such comfortable running shoes in my life!

The foot pain I experienced after running is completely gone...and the shoes are so light and they really breathe! No more sweaty feet! I really appreciate your expertise, and Kudos to your employer for hiring someone who actually knows what they're talking about! That's good business sense!

Sincerely,
The lady whose feet appreciate you!

Dear Olympics Commercials,

Just thought I'd let you know that even though the Super Bowl commercials are the ones who got all the attention, I honestly like you better!

I like you so much that I'm going to share my favorite 2 with all my readers! Thanks for the commercial break enjoyment!

~Olympic lovin' mama.

I LOVE this commercial...I just think it is so cool!

This commercial seriously choked me up the first time I saw it...is there something wrong with me?

Oh my gosh. I like all your letters but that last commercial seriously gave me the chills. Geez!
Oh, I love that last commercial!! :) If your house decides to clean itself, can it email my house and have a chat about getting on track? ;)

LMAO. I DVR the olympics and fast forward through the commercials. I think I should stop and watch them.

Thanks a lot! Now I'm crying! LOVE IT!!!
Someone at the shoe store that knows what they're talking about?! I didn't know there was such a thing! I guess I maybe need to branch out away from simple Payless shoe source with the oh so helpful teenage staff if I actually want service huh?

love that commercial...love it!

i have been trying to find a self cleaning house for years.
I keep hoping little elves will come in while I'm sleeping and clean mine!

That second commercial, oh my gracious! I'm sitting here squawling like a big ole baby. I bawled when my 5 year old did Special Olympics bowling at his school. I can't imagine if my kids was in the real olympics! Love it!

This is such a cute post! I need to write a letter to my messy house too. The aching back after cleaning all day just doesn't seem worth it to me lately.

I loved this post! It could so much have been mine. The commercial about their moms will always see them as kids makes me tear up everytime. I love that one...and yes...it is better than the Super Bowl commercials...except for the two Dorito ones...the little boy and his mom...and the man and the dog...I laugh out loud...just thinking about them....oh and the Volkswagon one with Stevie Wonder...they were like Master Cards...Priceless! Happy Friday!

Okay that second one is so cute. And dang made me choked up too... blame it on being pregnant :)
Don't the right running shoes make ALL the difference in the world!? (I'm a Brooks Ariel girl, myself.)
My house won't clean itself either. (Darn it)
I hadn't seen these commercials before. Thanks for sharing.
xoxo
I too love these commercials. However, on a lighter note I also loved the Coke one - could you please show that tomorrow? Thanks. P.S. - don't think of your house as messy - think of it as lived in!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
