And I'm still glowing...

Did y'all have a good weekend? Wanna hear about MY weekend? Well, you get to!

First let me ask you...if you could meet anyone, who would it be? I don't have a specific list of who would be my first choice, second choice, etc. But I have to tell you, Movie actors, T.V. actors, musicians - these guys actually aren't high on my list. But if you asked me would I like to meet one of my all time FAVORITE contestants from So You Think You Can Dance...I would shout a big, loud, "HECK YEAH!"

So here's how it went down: A few days ago our good friends asked us if we'd be interested in bringing our family and going with their family to see a play. The tickets had been given to them by a relative who lives out of town and had purchased the tickets with the intent of coming into town to see the show. Unfortunately they weren't able to make it and didn't want the tickets to go to waste. We thought,"Sure! That will be a great way to have a little 'Valentine's weekend outing' with the fam." So that's where we headed Saturday evening.

It was actually a musical, and was FABULOUS. Wonderful singing, great musical numbers and dancing. The main character was played by David Osmond - if you're familiar with the Osmonds!

There was some fabulous hip-hop choreography, and it was just seriously a fantastic show!

All of a sudden as I'm watching one of the hip hop numbers, and I'm studying each of the dancers, I recognize a face. A face that became VERY familiar to me during Season 4 of SYTYCD. Meet Gev:

I was SOOOO cheering for Gev during season 4. He's this uber-talented B-boy from Kazakhstan (originally), who made Utah his home when he came to the U.S. - so of course we claimed him as one of our own!

Check out his fabulousness:

2 really short (like 30 seconds) clips of his solos

He also proved really versatile in adapting to other styles. Here's his first time dancing contemporary...LOVE! Cue video to 2:24 to skip all the intro.

ANYWAY...I was so excited to see him live! But what made the night perfect? That's right...I totally got to meet him, and get my picture taken with him (I look like an idiot in it...don't even ask!), and get his autograph!!! He was really sweet, and friendly and his smile is even more adorable in person!

So THAT, my friends, was my completely awesome Saturday night! And I'm thankful for a Valentine who totally didn't mind me posing for a picture with another guy's arm around my waist!

Here's another adorable picture from when Gev was a special guest instuctor at a studio here in SLC.

So who did YOU meet this weekend?

SOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. He's hott!
Hey! Um, I spelled gehaw wrong. It's "geehaw" sounds like JEE-HAHW. It's one of those slang southern words, I guess.

BTW, I really want to see the picture of you and Mr. SYTYCD!

I think I need to start watching that show. I think I'm probably the only person in America that doesn't! How exciting for you! I've never met anyone famous, except for "Natalie" from "The Facts of Life" when I was 2 years old. Don't think that counts though!

Wow...lucky you! I did not meet anyone famous this weekend. I spent a quiet one with my mom at the nursing home, hubby, and church...nothing to write home about. I am tickled for you! Glad your weekend was so wonderful!
