Dear Someone

Dear Lady in the parking lot at school,

It would be nice if you would take responsibility for your own garbage. Last week, when you got into your trunk to get a diaper bag, a big wad of trash fell out onto the ground.

I know you saw it. Do you want to know how I know? Because I watched you close the trunk, look down, and make a point to step over the garbage and walk back to your door and get in.

Did you know one of our school's core values is Respect? How do you suppose our children are to learn respect if we don't model it for them? They certainly won't learn it by seeing their parents leaving their litter lying in the gutter at school. Shame on you.

Disappointed in you,
The mama who worked her tail off for 2 years before the school even opened, to make a lovely place for your children to go to school.

Dear Blogger,

I love you. I hate you. I can't decide.

Why is it that you're so cruel?

Do you know what's mean? Erasing my followers. Yeah, when I log on and see the followers section of my blog is just an empty, blank space...that's a mean trick.

Also, when I toil and toil to upload some lovely photos, then compose an accompanying post to share with my friends, I would appreciate it if when I click "publish post", you wouldn't bogart all the formatting and make it so my post is just one huge run-on paragraph. It is really annoying.

Also annoying? When I try to visit one of my friends and you "abort the action" and won't let their page load. Or if you DO let it load, then when I try to leave a comment...you won't let me! How are my friends supposed to know I care if you won't let me leave a comment?

Please, could you just try to play nice?

Very sincerely,
The woman who has sprouted more gray hairs than ever, since discovering blogging.

Dear Fox,

I love you! Thank you so much for deciding to broadcast a Fall season of So You Think You Can Dance!

Last night did not disappoint.

However, it would be oh so kind if you would consider allowing fans to watch the episodes online that they may have missed. Some of us don't have TiVo or DVR, and now that the world has decided to switch to digital, our VCR's won't work to record television shows.

You make full episodes of other shows available online, why not SYTYCD? Hmmm?

Praying you'll change your mind,
She who count's down the days to Wednesday Night T.V.

If you'd like to read more "Dear Someone's", or join in on the fun yourself, head on over to Family of Shorts!

Last night blogger said I did not follow any blogs. I was like yes I do. For some reason they would not show up on my dashboard. I was not happy. I could not see what was going on. What a mess.

I hope you share something fun for my Round Robin tomorrow if you would like to.
OK, here's the plan: Obviously Litter Mom will be back at the school at some point, right? You know what her car looks like, right? WWVD? V would confront Litter Mom with a bag of garbage. People try to get away with things like that if they think no one is watching or no one will say anything. Confrontation is a good thing.

That litter thing would make me mad too! I once saw a mom sitting in her van at pick up time smoking a cigarette and then when she was done she threw the still lit butt of the cigarette out the window into the parking lot. It irritated the crap out of me. I mean to each their own on the smoking thing, even though I personally think its gross, especially to subject your kids to the smoke in the vehicle....but dont throw that nasty thing on the ground!! This is AZ...land of the dry desert!
You are so funny! All this is true though! I hate it Blogger makes my sentences glue together.

FUNNY! I'm with you and other peoples garbage. It's just as easy for them to pick it up. And it is theirs.
Have a good day.

Here's a suggestion. The next time that happens, if you are close enough, run over, pick up the garbage, had to the person (even if you have to knock on theie window) and say "excuse me - I believe you dropped something". Be polite and no matter what don't call them what you are actually thinking.
Awesome post!!! I like buttercup's suggestion of what to do with the trash...very clever. :)

I did not know that Fox doesn't offer reruns online of SYTYCD...this is very worrisome to me.

Also, I was devastated to learn last night that I will be missing the Fall preview of Grey's Anatomy b/c I have to go to Nashville for a MOPS conference. I am torn....

I'm lovin' your letters! I think you should print them out and hand deliver them to the appropriate parties. They should know of these issues!

I love your "spooky" halloween background! It's so cute!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Post about a project on your blog, along with instructions on how you created your mod podge masterpiece! OR you can do a post featuring a project you have seen someone else do, just to pass the idea along. Just make sure you give credit where credit is due! Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at!
