Friday Confessional

It's that time again - one of my favorite blogging days.  Time to link up with Mamarazzi, confess, and get it all off your chest!

I confess...

I have been a HUGE blog slacker this week.  Mostly because my kids have been on spring break and we've been hanging out as a family a lot.  But also because I am feeling boring and lame lately too.

I confess...

I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by the thought of an upcoming craft show that I signed up for.  It will be the first time I've ever done one alone.  Previously I was making cute stuff with my bestie Tanielle, so craft shows were a joint undertaking.

I confess...

Every time I see these pinned on pinterest, I don't think of mummies, I think of Baby Jesus - and that just seems so wrong!

Seriously, the first time I saw them, I did a double take, and the voice inside my head said, "what the...??"

I confess...

I haven't been to bed before 3 in at least 3 nights.  I don't remember the nights before that because my mind has basically shut down from lack of sleep!

I confess...

As I type this, I am waiting for my friend to come over for my French lesson, but all I really want to do is crawl back into my warm bed and go to sleep.  I'm tired.  Or, "Je suis fatiguee."

If you have anything to get off your chest, I highly recommend linking up and playing along.  Or just go read other people's confessions, whatever you want.

Hope you get some sleep. Last night 2:00am wanted my company. I didn't really want to keep it company, but it was most insistent. Stupid insomnia.
Good luck with the craft fair.
That is funny about the mummy hot dogs..I could see where you'd get that though LOL.

I read somewhere on FB some saying : I have a hard time sleeping at night. I get up am lagging and cranky then somewhere in the evening I wake up then I can't go to sleep again..something like that but much better I ruined it!!

I could relate!
Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter

Big high five on the bloggy slacker thing. LOL :)

You will rock a craft show, you make AWESOME stuff!!!

I TOTALLY thought baby Jesus too when I saw the picture come up.

Last week I didn't go to bed before 2. I wish I had used my time more wisely last week. Now I have a million bloggy things to catch up one. Duh.
I'm with ya - totally looks like Baby Jesus! Hope y'all are having a great Spring Breka. I'm totally impressed witht he French lesson, by the way. I took French in high school. My favorite phrase: Je ne sai pas. (translation: I don't know!) which was my answer for every question my french teacher asked me.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...

Mod Podge to the Rescue

Have you noticed that eggs and nests seem to be a common theme in home decor - especially with people making some decor changes for spring? I've seen some pretty cute stuff! For example - what do you think of these? If you like this look, you can get it at Williams-Sanoma. You'll pay $36 for the eggs, and $68 for 1 glass hurricane. They don't include the greenery! Sheesh! Maybe you could go online and find the whole look, already put together, like this: You'll pay $39 for that teeny one, and if you'd like a larger one - you'll shell out $89! Good thing I'm the Queen of Mod Podge! Remember this beauty that I found at the DI for $5? Well, I gathered up my trusty mod podge, the left over scrap book paper from this project, some plastic eggs that I got for 79 cents at Walmart, and a bag of moss that was around $2, also from Walmart. I mod podged the eggs closed so they wouldn't pop open while I was working with them, then I cut the scrapbook paper into ...
