It's really on now!

Man, this only getting 1 blog post in a week has got to stop! I can't stand it! I'm going to make up for it by doing a super long one with lots of videos today! Of course the parts I want you to watch of each video are only 30-45 seconds long.

I had to make time today to share my excitetment that the competition is REALLY underway now! Have you been watching So You Think You Can Dance? If not, you are at the PERFECT time to tune in! The top 20 have been named! The top 10 guys and top 10 girls will begin competing on Monday! I'm so excited! I will be using "!" a lot throughout this post!

I'm especially stoked because so many of my favorite's made it in! Including 3 Dancers from Utah! Go Utah!

First my fellow Utahns. We have a married couple, Ryan and Ashleigh DiLello. The are fun just to look at because they are so gorgeous! Skip to 1:21 if you want to bypass the "introduction" piece.

Next up we have Mollee Gray. She's just this adorable little spunky blondie. Her mother packed up their family and moved them to L.A. to give her more opportunities in her dance career. I can't wait to see her grow over the course of this competition! Skip to 1:07 to go straight to the dancing.

Next up we have Billie Bell. He is stunning. Simply stunning. Adam Shankman (love him) gets a little over-the-top emotional in this clip, but just ignore that and be amazed at this powerful solo. I love this kid. What's even more incredible is the fact that he's only been dancing for 5 years. This is a huge, long montage clip, just skip to 7:52 to see Billie's last solo for the final elimination round.

What I love about these next 2 guys is how the really stepped up during Vegas week. During Vegas week, the dancers are put through the wringer, learning and performing dances from ballroom, contemporary, broadway, and I can't remember the rest. My point being, typically the trained dancers are able to adapt quite well to other styles of dance. But the street dancers almost always have an incredibly difficult time adjusting their "street" style to more technique-based styles. Even when they are amazing at their own style. These 2 guys took everything they threw at them and proved they could hang with the best of the techinically trained dancers! Here are their original auditions.

Legacy Perez - break dancer/ b-boy: Go to 0:54 to skip the intro.

Russell Ferguson - Krumper (awesome)

And there ya have it! My rundown on my top picks for this season of SYTYCD...it's gonna be AMAZING!

I'm excited for this season too. Can't wait.
Thanks for the SYTYCD update. I really need to start taping that show. I have seen a few episodes and been really impressed!

I'm looking forward to it now too. I don't really like the audition phase so I'm glad when it gets going!
Hey you!! :) I was SO excited about the Top 20!!!

I was shocked Paula turned down the offer to be in the Top 20...that movie had better be a big deal. She was such a great dancer.

I was just giddy that Mollee and her best friend made the Top 20 together--you know that will make for some drama. Mollee is slightly too peppy, even for me. I hope she tones it down just a smidge, but I love her dancing.

I haven't made up my mind about Ryan and Ashleigh. I think her awful first audition is what's stuck in my head--I'll withhold judgement until I see her on the show.

I CAN'T WAIT to watch on Monday night...SOOOOO excited!!! :)

Missed you. :)

So now I'm going to have to be watching so I know what you're talking about. I can NOT tell if they are good or not by watching, that's how bad I am at that stuff.
But the judge was bawling when that one guy was dancing and that was sorta funny to me! : )

I am totally in agreement with you- I thought Ashleigh was precious and I hated the comments the judges gave her initially. So, I really hope that she proves them WRONG this season.

I also think Mollie is PRECIOUS!!

And I love the krumper- he is so talented!!!!

It is going to be fun to watch- don't you think the dancers just get better and better??

P.S. Were you sad to see Evan's brother go? I was - thought he had a lot of personality!
P.P.S. M & I go to the show on WEDNESDAY- AGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I still haven't seen the show, but trust you'll give me re-caps...

Ok, from what you just showed me, my favs are the married couple (how cute is that??!) and the second one...the little spunky blonde girl. She's adorable! I'll try really hard to watch it all this season...how many episodes have I missed? They're on my DVR. I just need to sit down and have a SYTYCD marathon.

I'm missing you! I'm sorry I missed your call the other day. My mom and I had taken the kids to the pumpkin patch and I had left my phone in the truck to charge. Let's chat soon! Hope you're having a great week! ♥ya!
We are so excited about this season -- the talent is amazing! Can't wait to see how the tappers do in the show... I love Mollee- so cute!

Hope all is well!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

What would a party be without us BOTH?

Y'all didn't really think we were gonna party seperately did you? Not when we have so much fun TOGETHER! And it's better this way, because it means you have TWO chances to win an awesome Blogiversary giveaway! One year ago today, Tanielle and I both started blogging. For me, I thought it might be a good way to promote our hairbow busines. But I quickly learned that the true value of my blog was in the wonderful women I've met and the wonderful friends I've made - some who have even become close friends outside of Bloggerville. I've laughed, cried, been inspired, and received the best comments from some of the smartest, funniest, kindest ladies I've ever known. Thank you all for all of it! And thank you Tanielle for partying with me, and for being one of the people I've had the most fun with in my life. Ever. 10 things I love about Tanielle 1. I love that she shares a maturity level equivalent to mine (in it's near non-existence!) 2. I love that s
