Wow.

It's been over a week since my last post. I really admire, and am jealous of you ladies who manage to get all your holiday tasks accomplished, and find the time to blog about it!

You show off your decor, you share your recipes, all your preparations are shared on your blog. I am panicking this year and am further behind than I have ever been at this point in December! ARGH!

And I had such great ambitions for preparing early, and really enjoying my December. So much for that.

Here's a little bit of randomness, just so ya know I'm still here.

It is FREAKIN' COLD here! Our driveway faces north, and is on a slant. So yesterday when Hubby and I got home from running errands, I'm getting out of the car, and nearly get run over when our car starts sliding backwards down the driveway! Yeah, really!

My favorit pair of jeans is TOO BIG! YAY! I have to get a smaller size. Merry Christmas to me!

I let my poor dog outside yesterday when I came home in between running errands, then forgot to let her in before we left again! The poor thing was shivering when we got home, and just a whining! I felt so bad!

It will be a miracle if I'm ready fror Christmas by the 24th this year. Here's my schedule:

Today: meeting my mom, my SIL and her mom to shop (somewhere that has NOTHING that's on my list) and have lunch. In the evening meeting with the rest of the YW presidency to make Christmas gifts for the girls.

Tomorrow: Christmas celebration in the a.m. at the school, my girls are singing. In the evening staff/board Christmas party for the school. I also need to help my kids finish making gifts for their teachers, because Friday's the last day of school!

Friday: Short day at school. In the evening Birthday party for my nephew.

Saturday: In the morning is our ward Christmas breakfast. After that, meeting again with the YW presidency to finish the girls' gifts.

Sunday: Church, then meeting some friends at Temple Square to see the lights.

WHEN THE CRAP AM I GONNA FINISH MY SHOPPING AND WRAPPING!!!???

Please pray for me!

I hope you all are enjoying your December! In spite of my stress I do so LOVE Christmas time.

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him....

I sooo feel your stress. I had surgery Nov 30th, just 16 days ago and I am no way close to being ready for Christmas but its coming whether I'm ready or not plus money has been extremely scarce. OUCH!!!!
I've been trying so hard not to let the little stresses creep in and ruin the holiday for me {or my girls! or husband ;) } It always seems there's so much to do. And once I cross something off the list, I'm adding five more items. Ay yi yi.

I know it will get all done. How funny the other day when we went to get our Christmas tree I left our dog out. We came home and I went in the house letting him know we got our tree. He was not there. I was like oh no I left him outside.

Holy Cow! I'm glad you didn't get run over by your own car!!! I can totally understand how overwhelmed you feel. Especially with a church calling as involved as the one you have. I would gladly go shopping for you! I'll even wrap them! I know it sounds strange, but to me, that's therapeutic.

Good Luck, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I feel the SAME way!!! I'm not EVEN finished with my shopping...there are cards left to send, cookies left to bake, a gingerbread house just waiting to be put together, parties to attend, and a million other things. But I'm trying to take it one thing at a time. Oh, and you almost got ran over in your own driveway?!!! I'm glad you're ok. That's crazy. I miss you!!! Hope you're having a good day!♥
X, don't be so hard on yourself. :) I think most all of us feel this way. I have a list a MILE long of stuff I need to get done. I haven't returned any visits to my blog today, and I'm not sure I'll get a chance... :s
That's how I feel this year! I am freaking out. I haven't wrapped one thing and hardly bought anything either.

Oh, my driveway faces north too :) Good luck getting everything done!

XOXO

December CAN be totally crazy! I read somewhere in the blog world to start my Christmas projects in July, and I actually followed through with it! I'm so glad that I did because my twins and I have been sick for a week now. I'm praying for you that you'll get done in time!

Ah December...so much fun and so much stress! I'm so proud of you for fitting into your smaller jeans! That's very exciting. I hope those YW appreciate all the work and effort you are putting into their gifts. Hopefully their mothers help them recognize this... You are doing great and you will get it all done...somehow it always works out. That's part of the Christmas miracle.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

What would a party be without us BOTH?

Y'all didn't really think we were gonna party seperately did you? Not when we have so much fun TOGETHER! And it's better this way, because it means you have TWO chances to win an awesome Blogiversary giveaway! One year ago today, Tanielle and I both started blogging. For me, I thought it might be a good way to promote our hairbow busines. But I quickly learned that the true value of my blog was in the wonderful women I've met and the wonderful friends I've made - some who have even become close friends outside of Bloggerville. I've laughed, cried, been inspired, and received the best comments from some of the smartest, funniest, kindest ladies I've ever known. Thank you all for all of it! And thank you Tanielle for partying with me, and for being one of the people I've had the most fun with in my life. Ever. 10 things I love about Tanielle 1. I love that she shares a maturity level equivalent to mine (in it's near non-existence!) 2. I love that s
