I know I'm a day late (and believe me, I am WAY more than a dollar short!), but I still wanted to link up with MiMi.
Because she's my favorite.
And because I told her I would, and I don't like to be a liar. And I also don't want her to beat me up.
I'm pretty sure she could. I'm sorta a wimp.
ANYWAY....
Here's my F-bomb.
The other week, hubs was on his way to a job. Down in Utah County...about 30 minutes south of where we live. He was driving his big full size van, and pulling the trailer full of equipment as well. The stupid dang crappy winter weather had reappeared - to my dismay. The snow-storm alone was f-bomb enough for me.
I was at home wasting time working on the computer, when I get a text: "just rear-ended a lady". Wonderful.
When I finally got to talk to him I learned that there were 8 accidents on that stretch so far that morning. Apparently the sun was blinding, and people lost sight of the road and other cars. add that to slick roads = no bueno. The lady in front had lost sight, and put her brakes on. Hubby lost sight of her, and saw brake lights just before he slammed into her. Totaled the back of her mini-van. She and her little boy were okay. Hubby was freaking out about hitting a mom and kid. His van got some decent damage to the front. The headlights are jacked up, and don't work. And he lost the grill. I have a couple of pictures, but they don't really show how special the headlight assembly damage is. If you tap either of the lights, the whole thing bounces up and down!
Also...Hubby's accident was the 7th accident. The 8th accident was caused by the debris from their accident...nice, huh?
Here's the best part. When he finally got to the job ( a BIG job that we could REALLY use the money from), his machine didn't work properly because of sustaining damage from the accident. So he had to drive all the way back home, and still hasn't finished the job (luckily they didn't give it to someone else).
He can't drive his van at night because of no headlights, but putting it in the shop is going to KILL us, because it will be down for at least a week. That means at least a week of no work. Ugh.
So now I'm done complaining and please enjoy the following pictures for your viewing pleasure: (p.s. the last picture might be disturbing to some...if you have a tender heart towards animals or a particularly weak stomach, you may want to skip it.)
It was an F-bomb day for this bird as well....

And? Is that a bird?! It looks like someone fried the roadrunner!
Glad he's okay!
That bird is like the exact definition of "wrong place, wrong time", eh?
