Mod Podge Mania!

Welcome friends! It's time to party...mod podge style! Let's review the rules for playing:

Mod Podge Mania is a way for us to share and receive some fabulous ideas for using Mod Podge. Therefore, it makes sense that not only should we link up, but then we should follow up. By that, I mean - get out there and visit! You never know what amazing project might be just a link away!

Make sure to include a link back to our party in your post. You may link up any project, old or new, but please, if you use an old post, update the post to include a link back to our party, and maybe do a current post explaining about Mod Podge Mania so your regular visitors will know where to find the party.

Let's go! I haven't been blogging very regularly, but I hope we still get a decent response!

I've decided to share a project that I did blog about previously, but it was way back at the beginning of my blogging career (you like how I've labeled it a career?), so I'd like to share it again.

This Mod Podge recipe tin is a fun gift my mom and I love to give at bridal showers.

You start off with a plain white tin purse (at least that's what they're called in the Oriental Trading Co. catalog). I ordered mine from OTC, but you can pick them up at any craft store as well.
Then round up some decorating and embellishing supplies. My standards I like to use are coordinating scrapbook papers and tags/letters, as well as some coordinating ribbon for the handle. You could also use some 3D embellishments like buttons and flowers as well.

Cut your paper to fit around the box, and also a piece for the top if you'd like. I've done these with the top plain, and decorated. It turns out cute either way. I like to tear and layer a couple different papers. Adhere paper to your box with Mod Podge. Also stick on any lettering or other flat embellishments you want to use. top with 2 or more coats of Mod Podge to seal it all up nicely. Then add any 3D embellishments, like flowers, if you would like.

I like to tie several ribbons along the handle to give it a fun look. Make sure to seal your ribbon ends with fray stop or a lighter so they won't fray.

My mom and I have a collection of favorite tried and true recipes that we've accumulated over the years, and we print them up and give them to our loved ones in this cute litte recipe tin. It's always a hit!

What do you have to share today? Please start linking and visiting away!

I seriously have a box almost JUST like that sitting on my shelf here at work. I originally bought it to organize my Christmas cards in, but I loved it so much that I've found different uses for it over that past couple of years. Your's is sooooo adorable! I would love to make myself one...I just may have to do it. :)

Hope you're having a good Monday!! Love ya!♥

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
