Gettin' my fruit on!

Hey all! Time to talk Muffin Top with Shortmama! That sounds sorta wrong, doesn't it?

Anyway.

Today's question is "How do you stay on track with the change of the seasons?"

My answer? First I have to freakin' get on track!!

But besides that - I, like Shortmama, am relishing the "soup-eating season"! I LOOOOOOVE soup! I'm anxious for Shortmama to share some of those healthy soup recipes she mentioned as well (hint, hint).

One of the things that I've recently become involved with that I think will really help me stay eating healthier in the winter is Bountiful Baskets.

Some of you might know what I'm referring to. I am ordering through a friend right now, so I don't know exactly how everything works, but what I do know is that Bountiful Baskets is a food co-op, volunteer run, and for $15 I get $50 worth of fruits and vegetables.

Not some unkown, scary produce either. High quality, purchased locally first, then regionally, then from small farmers in Mexico (yeah for small farmers!) produce. We are currently on our 2nd basket and we are loving it. The picture above is an actual photo of a Bountiful Basket...not mine, but it IS an accurate portrayal of what they are.

This week for $15 I got: a bunch of bananas, a bunch of grapes, a canaray melon, 2 bell peppers, a half dozen tomatoes, a half dozen peaches, 2 bunches of celery, a cabbage, a bundle of romaine lettuce, a dozen plums and a carton of strawberries - and I think that's it. But I might remember something else later!

And it's good stuff! And they have other options for breads, and tortillas, and I'm not sure what else, but I plan on snooping around their website some more to see what else I can score!

Shortmama - they do Bountiful Baskets in AZ - if you're interested. Also, they have a $25 option for 100% certified organic that I'm going to look into.

So for now, my weapon for helping me stay on track this winter is Bountiful Baskets - and I'm really excited about it! I have even gotten some stuff that I've never tried before, and I'm venturing into some new recipes as a result!

What are some of your ideas for staying on track with the season change?

That is soooo cool!! I'm going to have to see if there is anything like that around here! We have been buying from a local farmer's market, but that will end soon. I'll miss all my fresh veggies and fruit when winter gets here!

Hope you're having a great week so far!!♥
Bountiful Baskets sounds like a pretty good deal to me!!!!

I have great plans for eating healthy (still) and massive amounts of roller skating. Oh, and I have an evil (awesome) friend who is whipping me into shape with some exercises designed especially for my goals. Yay!
I gotta look into the basket thing...

I do Bountiful Baskets too! I just don't like getting up so early on a Saturday. You should try their wheat bread, it is so yummy, with just a bit of butter, 2 slices could almost be a meal!

I just got my very first Bountiful Basket a week ago!!! I LOVE IT!!! I had no idea it was in Texas, but sure enough, there is one station that is about an hour away, that comes every 2 weeks. I know that I'm going to be able to afford so much more produce this way.

Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
