Progress Report

I haven't given an update for awhile on my goals, but it's not because I haven't been working!

I have increased from walking for an hour on my treadmill to jogging for 20 minutes and walking for 40 (in intervals). I am down 15 lbs!!

I have some before and after pics for ya. This is my spice cupboard - another spot people just shove anything and everything, after they've shoved the pantry so full that nothing else will fit!
Digging around looking for what I needed always caused a mini avalanche!

Found these nifty little baskets and tote at Big Lots for $1!!!

I labeled the tops of my spices so I can just get the basket down,
look at the tops, and find what I need!
Food Storage: I won't show everything, but we are making progress. I have recently purchased a year's supply of chili for my family - on sale at Smith's for 50 cents! Also got a 6 month's supply of Miracle Whip, a variety of salad dressings, and 40 cans of Chef Boyardee (also for 50 cents)! I know the latter isn't the healthiest can on the shelf - but it 's good for food storage, and acceptable for the occasional quick lunch. Add that to what I already had, and we are getting there!
Yay me!
I hope you are all having a fabulous week - and don't forget to vote in my Better Boy Band poll (upper right of blog), and use the comments link to tell me why you voted the way you did!
I love you all!!

Oh I like how you labeled the tops of the spices... that's so practical! My spice cabinet looks like yours did before you organized it... one more thing to add to the to do list!

Great idea of using the baskets for little items . . . I might have to "steal" that idea! Thanks for visiting my blog . . . I'm happy to visit yours!
You're inspiring me to clean out my own spice cabinet. Will you come do it for me, because you'll do a much better job!

Happy Saucy week!

Wow. Sadly your "before" spice cupboard looks better than mine. Mine is on a lazy susan that won't turn when you try it one way because something fell off the back and I have no clue what it is and no way to get to it until I take ALL of it out of there. *cries*

Oddly enough I LOVE organization - and your after looks fantastic.

And congratulations on the 15 lbs!

Wow...you are doing wonderful!!
I wish I was an organizer. I try.
At work we have to wear certain scrubs each day and sometimes it's hard to remember because we rotate every other week. So I thought, I'm going to organize these scrub sets....and I made a list. I put them in order in the closet and I was set, until Monday came and I totally had the wrong set on. It isn't even a set we EVER wear on Mondays! So...organizing...not for me. :)

Looks good. I like the labeling the top idea.

I just cleaned out my pantry...it was shameful how much stuff was laying on the pantry floor.

This is a very good idea! I can use this in our pantry. I know what you mean about the avalanche effect when you grab one tiny thing out. Thanks girl.

No wonder you're saucy..you're smart! I love how you labeled those spices on top!
Ok, you've totally inspired me! My pantry is completely out of control. If you don't see before and after pictures of my pantry by the end of the week, you need to come over and scold me :-)
Aha! Baskets for spices and label the tops! I'll think of you next time I'm screaming about salt in my eyes because I forgot about picking up baskets at the store.
Congrat's on your Saucy Week. I can totally relate with the spice cabinet. When I had my last little girl and my mom stayed with my other girls, I came home to find she'd totally revamped my spice cabinet with turn tables and almost OCD organization! It has helped but I was embarrassed that she did it! Glad to know my spice cupboard wasn't the only one in disarray!

You are a step ahead of me on the spices! I organized mine in mini baskets (like yours), but I didn't think to label the TOPS! Excellent idea!

WTG on the weight loss! I'm working on it, too. Slowly but surely...one day at a time (and all those other cliches). :)

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
