Tag

Apparently tags are making a comeback.  Who remembers tags?  I was sorta sad that they went away because they are great when you are stumped about what to blog.  Of course I prefer the ones where you are asked a series of very specific questions, because then you don't have to think at all.  But I wasn't tagged with one of those tags.

MiMi did tag me though, (she wanted me to feel like I haven't been forgotten here in blog land).  Here are the rules of the tag:
  1. Display the award logo on your blog. (MiMi didn't post it, so I can't.)
  2. Link back to the person(s) who nominated you.
  3. State 7 things about yourself.
  4. Nominate 15 bloggers for this award.  (Probably won't get 15, but we'll see.)
  5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination by linking to one of their specific posts so that they get notified by pingback. (Ummm...?)
So here are 7 things about me:

1 - I hate the way I can't figure out how to copy and paste to my blog without a lame white background showing up.

2 - The thing I love most about being a new mom again is watching my other children be absolutely in love with their baby sister.

3 - The thing I hate most about breastfeeding is that you have to wear a bra all. the. freaking. TIME!

4 - I want to learn to sew.  Like for reals sew.  Not just operate the machine after somebody else has already threaded it, and I just have to sew a straight line.  But actual sewing.

5 - I miss my dad.

6 - I haven't been to church since Baby Girl was born.  I have turned into one of those super paranoid about germs moms.  But can you blame me?  You might remember a little thing we went through last summer called whooping cough?  So Baby Girl and I send the family off each Sunday and we stay home and chill.

7 - I plan to go back on Easter Sunday.

Now for the tagging:

Myya (I know she got tagged by MiMi, but I also know she hasn't done it!)

Well, I'm being summoned by her highness who is hungry again, so that's where I'll leave it.  A couple of these girls are being tagged just to motivate them to do another post!!  Anyone else who wants to play, feel free to join in!

Interesting facts Xazmin, that's really annoying that you need to wear a bra all the time because of breast feeding although it's all worth it. Absolutely love these tagged posts, great job.

I can barely sew a straight line if someone does thread it for me, so yea right there with you, though. I didn't go for more than two months after Ryder was born since he was born two months early then I waited about a month after his actual due date.

You are trying to motivate me, right? :) I too, want to learn to sew. I try, but I can't even draw a straight line, what hope do I have of sewing one? I don't blame you for keeping the baby home from church. There are so many germs there! Faye was born at the height of H1N1 and I didn't want to take her forever after she was born. I can't imagine actually dealing with something like whopping cough.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t

Also, make sure to include a link back to my blog in your post! Next, link up by entering your name and copying the URL to your post into Mr. Linky - he's waiting at the bottom of this post. It would be helpful if you put the name of your project along with your name so people will know what they are coming to look at!
