We Want To Know Wednesday!

Time for another edition of WWTK Wednesday hosted by Janette, Mamarazzi, Shawn and Impulsive Addict. This week's Q's are courtesy of Mamarazzi:

{1} You have been asked to give a 10 minute speech to teenage girls. What is it about?
Definitely Self-respect. And how girls need to respect themselves and show that respect in the way they dress, the way they talk, and the way they behave.

{2} Do you have a pet? Tell us about them. No pets? Why?
We currently have 2 pets. First we have Ty, she has been with us for about 3 years. She and Monkey were both 1 at the time we got her, and her gentleness, despite Monkey's annoyances is what made us decide she was a keeper.
Ty and Pixie watching a movie.

Then we have Speckle. He (she?) was one of the frogs Pixie's class raised for their Learning Expedition on the life of a frog. Lucky for us (please hear the sarcasm), Pixie was one of the winners in the drawing her class had at the end of the year to see who got to take the pet frogs home. Nice.

{3} What is the biggest inconvenience about the place you’re currently living?

Our house is pretty convenient to everything as far as shopping, hospitals, entertainment, etc. I would have to say that the road turning out of our neighborhood can get pretty busy - so probably the inconvenience of trying to turn left out of our neighborhood during rush hour.

{4} What do you think is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?

Marrying my husband, for sure.

{5} What are the THREE "nevers" of your life? (things you would never do or have never done)

I have never smoked or drank alcohol.
I would never do drugs.
I would never get a tattoo.

So there you have it. I'll be by to see everyone's answers later tonight!

Taking a left on a busy road is terrible! Hate that!
Love the picture of your daughter with Ty. Too cute!
Agree. Girls do not have self respect for themselves anymore. It's worse now then when I was a teen.

I love that pic of Ty and Pixie. Soooo cute!!!!!

Good for you for never smoking. Can I tempt you with a captain and coke? lol I'M KIDDING!!! I would first offer you a margarita before I break out the hard stuff. LOL!

Thanks for linking up. I'm still hacking and sneezing and coughing and I've been missing the blogging world. I just haven't been feeling my best and then the sickies moved in. Ugh.

So I guess when we finally meet up talking over a margarita at the tattoo shop is out.

Love that picture of Pixie and rolly-polly Ty!

Self-respect, heck respect for anyone or anything is quickly becoming obsolete!

Thanks for linking up!

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

I've been a busy girl! I have been wanting to do a giveaway for Fall, and when my fab friend Heidi revealed that her Monthly Craft Challenge for October would be Fall-themed crafts, I thought "YES! I will do a giveaway of Fall items - handmade by me!" So today I'm linking up with Heidi , and introducing my Handmade For Fall Giveaway as I show you what I've made for Heidi's party ! Sound good? First, a while back I showed you some coasters that I made, but it was clear back when I first started blogging, so I'm going to show you again with this new seasonal set! This idea has been floating around blog land, and I've seen several different variations. Here's how I do it. You will need: paper napkins, 4x4 ceramic tiles, 4x4 cork squares, MOD PODGE (what else?), sponge brushes (not shown), and polyurethane (not shown). Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t...

Mod Podge to the Rescue

Have you noticed that eggs and nests seem to be a common theme in home decor - especially with people making some decor changes for spring? I've seen some pretty cute stuff! For example - what do you think of these? If you like this look, you can get it at Williams-Sanoma. You'll pay $36 for the eggs, and $68 for 1 glass hurricane. They don't include the greenery! Sheesh! Maybe you could go online and find the whole look, already put together, like this: You'll pay $39 for that teeny one, and if you'd like a larger one - you'll shell out $89! Good thing I'm the Queen of Mod Podge! Remember this beauty that I found at the DI for $5? Well, I gathered up my trusty mod podge, the left over scrap book paper from this project, some plastic eggs that I got for 79 cents at Walmart, and a bag of moss that was around $2, also from Walmart. I mod podged the eggs closed so they wouldn't pop open while I was working with them, then I cut the scrapbook paper into ...
