I've missed being a blogger! I need to just figure out a way to fit it in. Tonight I'm making the time. Hopefully I'll get better at organizing my schedule so I can make time to blog more regularly.
So what's everybody been up to?
We've had so much going on. My son is going to be a sophomore in High School this fall! I can't even stand it! I will also have a 7th, 5th and 2nd grader. I can't really be this old can I? Luckily I have my sweet Baby Girl to keep me feeling young. But even she will be 6 months old in a couple of weeks! How did this happen?
We've started a new family business. More on that next time. I also received my first Halloween Costume order for Ribbon Blossoms. Seriously...who plans this far ahead? Not that I'm not grateful for the business! I'm just so not organized enough to ever have my kids' Halloween costumes planned and purchased by July!
Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of my dad passing away. We spent the day with my mom just hanging out and talking. It doesn't seem real that a whole year has passed, but it also feels like it's been a lifetime. It's hard to think about Baby Girl never knowing her grandpa in this life. He loved my kids so much, and she will have no memories of him. I think that bothers me more than anything else.
I wonder how my mom's doing. I mean really. Because she's like me. She holds it close to her and doesn't like to show when she's struggling. She wants everyone to think she's strong. I know it gets to her though. I hope she's doing okay. I know she's looking forward to next week.
We're heading to Lava Hot Springs for our family reunion. My mom will get to see her brother and all her sisters and we'll have a few days to swim, visit, relax and just have fun with aunts, uncles and cousins. I'm a little nervous about taking Baby Girl. She's kind of a homebody. After a few hours away from home she's done. She gets super cranky and whiny. But once we walk back through the doors of our home she is a different baby - content, smiley, and just really happy to be home. I hope she does okay for the reunion. I mean after all, it is her official "debut" for my mom's side of the family! Of course we want her to be charming!
It's a good thing she has super fat, kissable baby cheeks that win people over even when she's being a stinker!
The rest of the kids are excited to see their cousins and spend their days playing in the sunshine and the water. I'm excited for all the good food. There's always a lot. ;) And I'm excited to just play with my kids. To watch them having fun, and not have any school meetings to go to, or orders to fill. No matter how messy my house back home is, or how backed up the laundry is - there's nothing I can do about it. So I'll just relax and enjoy my family. I really love them.
Do you have any fun summer plans, or fun family adventures that you've already had this summer?

We have been go go go this summer, taking it a bit easy right now. We are doing a big trip the end of the summer just before school starts.
Have fun in Lava!!!
What a fun vacation for you! Being able to see everyone. It will probably be good for your mom to be around her siblings, too. That one year mark is tough, I hear.
