It's been a while! Life has been crazy, and busy and good. But I'm not getting it all recorded because I haven't blogged! What's up with that?
A few notable things that have gone on since I last blogged:
Our sweet Baby Girl was blessed in Sacrament Meeting on April 14. It was a beautiful day surrounded by friends and family. It was also a little bittersweet. Baby Girl is the first of my children not to have my dad standing in the Priesthood circle for their baby blessing. I know he was there, but I still missed having him physically with us. My little brother was also not able to be there, as he is currently living out of state. I don't like having my family spread out like this!
Baby Girl is growing up so fast, I can hardly stand it. She will be 3 months old this week. So crazy!
On April 1st I started a fitness challenge and as of Sunday's weigh-in I was down 17.4 lbs! I still have a ways to go, but it feels great to be making good progress! I'd like to be significantly smaller by the time we head to Lava Hot Springs for our family reunion in July!
I'm thinking of hosting another fitness challenge when this one ends, with my BFF Tanielle, who is also participating in this one. Would anyone be interested in participating?
Cowgirl had a lovely trip to the ER on Saturday. During her soccer game she took a HARD ball to the head kicked from about 4 feet away. It laid her out flat. She suffered a severe concussion, and is still experiencing symptoms of dizziness and pain in her neck. Today is her first day that she hasn't been suffering from a headache as well. We are continuing to watch her for any signs of complications, but otherwise it is just a slow, boring waiting game for her until she is able to return to regular activity.
The school year is winding down, State testing is under way, the weather is getting warmer (although it snowed today...what the what??), and I'm anxious for my kids to be out of school and am looking forward to the long, lazy (yeah right) days of summer. I'm committed to try and make this summer more leisurely and enjoyable with my family, and less busy and stressful. Any tips for making this happen? Thanks.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll be back tomorrow with a great big Proud Mama Moment.
