Friend Makin' Monday - Dating!

What a fun topic, right?

I'm playing along with Kenlie's Friend Makin' Monday today!  You should go link up and play too!

The topic is dating, and now onto the questions!

What is your current relationship status? (Be as specific as you’d like to be!

Married - 16 years this December!

List a few qualities that you look for in a significant other.

Kind, hardworking, dedicated to faith and family.  Those are pretty much my 3 must haves (lucky my man has them!), but it doesn't hurt to be hot and hilarious as well.

If you could choose to date one character in TV or film, who would you choose?  And which characteristics are most appealing?

Um, Hello! Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarret!  Have you SEEN him?  I think this clip speaks for itself:

Most appealing characteristics?  Um - he's HOT, he can kick the crap out of anyone who messes with you, and he's HOT!  I posted this especially for you Myya!

How long should you date before becoming exclusive?

Obviously this depends on the people and the situation.  For me it took one day.  Yeah, we met, and I was done dating anyone else.

What are your thoughts on public displays of affection?

Honestly, it grosses me out to see other people make out in public, and I don't do it myself.  Hand-holding or a quick smooch is sweet - beyond that - keep it private please!

Do you kiss on the first date?

I have been known to, on occasion.

Biggest turn-off?

A foul mouth.  Treat me with the respect to not use vulgar, crude or obscene language around me.  And honestly it's not just a turn-off, but it makes you look significantly less intelligent.  Also, smoking - gross.

What’s the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?

Probably the eyes and smile.  Then I move on from there - I like good-looking men, I'm not gonna lie.

How long do you/did you wait before becoming intimate?

Wow Kenlie!  Getting personal here, aren't we?  I believe in and practiced abstinence before marriage.  Which may be the reason I met hubby in July and we were married in December!!  Hehehe.  Just Kidding!  I really married him that quickly because I knew he was the one I was supposed to marry - so why wait?

Describe your dream date.

My idea of a dream date has certainly evolved over time, and especially after 16 years of marriage.  My perfect date with my husband would include an overnight getaway in a nice hotel in downtown SLC.  We would start the night off with a yummy dinner at any restaurant we were in the mood for - no matter what the price!  It would be an early dinner, because we would need to be done in time to make it to a ReAL Salt Lake game - which of course we would dominate!  It would have to be against Colorado or L.A. - because I can't stand them - so beating them would be fantastic for my perfect date night.  After the game we would go somewhere fun for a yummy dessert.  Then back to the swanky hotel with my cute hubby.  We'd have some quality time , and a RESTFUL night's sleep without ANY kids crawling into our bed halfway through the night - or coming in crying because they feel like they're gonna throw up, or coming in crying because they DID throw up.  And we'd SLEEP IN as late as we wanted!

Doesn't that sound perfect?  No?  Well, it does to me!

That was fun!  Click here if you'd like to read more, or join in!

P.S.  I have no idea why blogger showed my post with half of the sentences highlighted in white.  And I have no idea how to get rid of it.  Sorry.

Eww, I forgot smoking. That's a big turn-off for me too. And I love your 80s wedding pic! That's so awesome and still so beautiful -- there were some in that decade that weren't so timeless. Congrats!

Love your wedding picture! And totally agree on the PDA, hand holding a little kiss is adorable and cute- seeing people's tongues in other people's mouths ewe!
Look at your beautiful wedding dress! Congrats on almost 16 years!

If a guy can't make me laugh on the first date, it's all over. He HAS to be funny because that's how I roll.

I love your dream date idea. I'll have to really think about mine...

Start by cutting your napkin down to a manageable size, slightly bigger than your tile. Next spread a layer of mod podg onto the t
