A Pinterest Linky Party? I am so there!!

Yes, yes - it's been a couple of weeks.  I was planning on blogging tomorrow anyway.  But then I saw THIS.  A PINTEREST linky party?  I. could. die.




So the idea of the party?  Link up something you tried that was inspired by something you saw on Pinterest.  Well I'm telling you - I get all sorts of inspiration from Pinterest.  All. Day. Long.  Yeah, no problem in the inspiration department.  It's the motivation department that needs work.  You know, because a lot of hours can be spent being inspired.  Just sayin' - it takes some time.

So here's my pinterest story.  The inspiration:


So, instead of  "Liked it, Pinned it, Did it"...my story is more of a "Liked it, Pinned it, Tried it."

Yeah, this totally didn't work.  I followed the directions, sliced my pepper to the correct thickness per the instructions - cracked my eggs into the peppers.  And instead of these tidy, flower-like eggs in peppers, my result was more like, peppers in eggs.  The whites totally did not stay contained within the pepper rings.  They ran all over the bottom of the pan, and the result was just some pepper rings sitting in my pan of fried eggs.

I bet you didn't think I would be linking up a Pinterest fail,  did ya?

Hey - just keepin' it real.  So, I don't know if it's just me, I mean SOMEBODY must have done them right to have them posted to Pinterest, right?  So what do y'all think I did wrong?

i have done this...the first time i tried it was a FAIL but the second egg worked. the difference was getting a good sticky sear on the pepper before adding the egg. the pepper was a little charred by the time the egg was done but i think it added to the flavor and i just served it cute side up.

i totally forgot about this delightful way to serve eggs...i am going to do it again soon!!

This crap happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. I think they dr'd the picture. But I love that you played! We gotta do this every week!! It will keep us motivated to make stuff!

lol, I feel this way every single time I try to make Egg In a Holes for my kids. How do people get the egg to not leave the hole in the toast?! lol

I make hens in a nest using bread with eggs....very similar...I think your little flowers are precious.

Hand Made for Fall - A party and a Giveaway!

Holiness to the Lord

My heart is full tonight. Today I had the opportunity, along with my husband, to take our two oldest children and attend a session of the dedication of the newest LDS temple. A few weeks ago we were able to take the entire family to tour the inside of the temple during the public open house. During this time, before the temple is dedicated to the Lord, the temple is open to the public for anyone to come walk through and tour the inside. My kids were so excited - they have always asked me what it was like inside the temple. I've tried to explain it to them. There is nothing in this world that can compare to the beauty, the serenity, the absolute peace that can be found within the walls of these holy buildings.
